“Shame we only stayed one night.”

Everything, stayed there I night on way from Calais to Dordogne, House and gardens plus a small wooded walk. Breakfast superb, host fantastic.

We received a warm and friendly welcome from the lady who spoke very good English. The location, building, room and communal area including cooking facilities were all excellent. Secure parking for bikes. The house is in a very quiet location with free range chickens, geese and deer. A lovely small town with lots of bars, restaurants, shops and fuel stations.

A wonderful overnight stop on our way down to Spain. Fabulous setting in woodland, delicious food, a comfy room and a welcoming host. We were exhausted when we arrived but left refreshed and feeling we’d been on holiday for ages!

The accommodation was spotless. The immediate surroundings were very tranquil with a short woodland walk. The building and gardens were lovely. Great setting for the good breakfast provided. The host was very helpful and booked a meal for us.

We were asked what we would like and she provided all of it plus more. Fresh warm croissants, delicious food. Lovely jam , cheese and baguette. The host was very helpful as I’m a bit disabled, she gave me the downstairs bedroom and bathroom. What a peaceful place to stay. I highly recommend it.

we were warmly welcomed by our hostess who prepared a delicious meal for us. A lovely place to stay: the rooms are spacious, very comfortable and elegantly furnished. Breakfast the following morning was also excellent. The location is very peaceful yet convenient for the autoroute.

The breakfast was excellent. A continental breakfast but it was so fresh and plentiful that it was a delight. The setting of being on the back patio in her garden was just beautiful. What a great way to start the day

Set down a driveway in woodland, a haven of peace and quiet just outside the centre of Lamotte. There are also a few log cabins in the grounds. Very comfortable and spacious room (downstairs). Madame prepared an excellent Table d'Hote meal. Please note that outside shoes are not permitted in the property so slippers are a good idea, but Madame provides shoe covers.

“Hidden gem”

It's just off the road but you feel like you're in a forest. The whole house is decorated in a style that matches the surroundings and the host is friendly. We were welcomed with a cup of coffee and had a lovely breakfast the next day, with lots of fruit and a selection of cheeses. Everything is really clean and well taken care of.
