Booked this as had a long drive between locations (Sooke and Tofino). Pleasantly surprised at this lovely well appointed cabin by the lake. 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, lounge with TV and full cupboard with DVDs and several outdoor seating areas

While the owners were in touch and check in directions were well communicated as well as other notices, The listing for this 'resort' needs to be desperately updated. Kitchen: Only Kettle, tea&coffee maker listed and a BBQ. We were at a loss as to meal prep however turned out there was a microwave, toaster, oven and stove, not listed. The BBQ did not work. Yes flat screen TV along with 50+very old DVDs and no cable. etc. Not properly listed. The garden area was a tired, dusty bowl of dead plants and weeds. Outdoor furniture dirty and wet. Not welcoming at all. Air conditioning was located in one room, and barely reached bedrooms however multiple fans were blowing like crazy and did not meet the listing of 'air conditioning'. One of the beds was similar to sleeping on a table. The 'resort' was a disappointment having just arrived from a 4 star water front accomodation at the same price, this is a family w kids style accomodation. 3 star at the most.

“Perfection”

Nice quiet little cabin with everything we needed for a few nights stay. Very clean and comfortable, the back yard is really lovely and private. Cabin had towels, cookware, board games and DVDs. Hosts were super responsive with clear instructions. It wasn't warm enough to swim in the lake, but the water felt warm. Thanks for a lovely stay!

My comment is that a lot more instructions have to be given in order to get to this place. There was no one at the gate to let us in and no number to call to get assistance. It was only by chance that we saw someone standing outside that we got through the gate and the description failed to mention that it was a park model in a trailer park, not a four bedroom house. No stores or restaurants nearby.
