So close to the autostrada, I was driving long distance from L’Aquila to Calabria. Fantastic on site parking. Very easy to find, host was amazing such beautiful hospitality. Bed was so comfortable, bathroom very comfortable with a shower cubicle, fantastic water pressure.

“A hidden gem”

Roberto was a splendid host. From the minute we arrived, until we left. He was very helpfull with information on where to go for nice hikes in the surrounding mountains. We had the best breakfast for our two weeks trip. Fresh cornetti, eggs and sweets from his girlfriend. Yogurt and fresh fruits. And of cause juice and good espresso. Our room was like new with a big balcony facing south with a great view. Laino Borgo is a short walk away. Not big and no tourist (except for the two of us), but very authentic. Don't miss a walk around town to see the many murals painted on the wall. They descibe local life and are very beautiful.

This is an amazing hotel! Roberto is very friendly and accommodating (he has excellent tips to explore the park). Breakfast was delicious. Clean and spacious rooms. Can definitely recommend!

We stayed for just one night, but it was truly unforgettable. The hotel is beautifully nestled in the hills of an Italian national park, surrounded by stunning nature and peaceful scenery. The atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. What made our stay exceptional was the staff — absolutely the best we’ve ever encountered. Genuinely kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They made us feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious and entirely homemade, with fresh local ingredients that made all the difference. You can really taste the love and care in everything they do here. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and heartwarming experience in the Italian countryside!

This is a great hotel. Roberto was a wonderful host. The hotel is in a very tranquil location yet only a few minutes from the highway. The little town is very picturesque. We had a wonderful evening meal where all the produce was locally sourced and gluten free was not a problem. Our dog was also welcome. This place is a hidden jewel.

A cosy small hotel, running by a family. The amplacement is on a river side, you can enjoy the sound of water. Behind is a large parking place. Nearby you can walk on the cobble streets of a typical calabrese village, Laino Borgo, and admire „murales” (magnificent paintings on the old houses walls). Rooms are big enough, clean, with confortable beds. Breakfast is delicious, including home made cakes (yummy!!). Roberto, the owner, is a simpatic guy, we talked a lot and he gave us helpful informations about the area.

“Return Stay as Wonderful as the First”

Returned for a second stay this visit on my way back from Sicily as it was such a positive experience on my way south. Roberto made me feel as at home as the first visit. There is a focus on simple, healthy items all made in-house and delicious. The location is 5 minutes off the autostrada, yet it is quiet and feels like a world apart. I will be back.

Great host and fantastic local food at supper!

Palia's Hotel was the perfect spot to break our trip from Sicily to Tuscany over night. The owner Carmelo was very friendly & generous making us feel very welcome. He introduced us to a variety of the local produce over dinner that evening including nduja, pickled garlic & a great EV olive oil. The home made pasta was delicious. We also enjoyed our walk in Laino Borgo seeing the beautiful murales'. Will definitely return again 🍷

Wonderful warm welcome from Roberto - we felt at home immediately! The location is brilliant - practically ….as its 5’ from the autostrade junction and then just for the sheer beauty of the surroundings, nestled in a valley. After the noise of the autostrade the peace of the place along with the river gurgling at the foot of the valley is just wonderful . Quite astonishing. Immediately relaxing! the view from the property in all directions is beautiful The hotel has everything you need - rooms are a good size, simply decorated but well equipped with a good shower (& no shower curtain!) and a good working hairdryer, fridge and bedside lights. Many rooms have a terrace as well. Just fab. And then there’s the evening meal if you choose to eat at Palia’s .. absolutely wonderful . Cooked brilliantly by Roberto’s mum - the house anti pasti were spectacular - so varied and tasty . Pasta course was fab - sadly we had no room for secondi :-( Breakfast was wonderful - amazing selection of local made cakes PLUS Roberto asked is wed like meat or eggs or cheese as well ! Thank you It was exceptionally good value - both the hotel rate and the meal and the drinks. We were just passing through, a stop over, but what a find!! AND what a great place to stay for longer as there is lots to do locally - river based activities plus hiking etc We will definitely come back

Exceptional service and kind, attentive hosts! Nice rooms, excellent restaurant preparing home-cooked dishes of high quality at a great price. Located on edge of village, quiet corner, with forest and stream beside hotel. Really great value, and restful pace to stay if passing through or visiting the area.

A very quiet and relaxing place with beautiful views especially on foggy mornings. Private parking and having their own restaurant is a huge plus too.
