Very clean, friendly staff and perfect location.

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for 1 night on our road trip journey. We had a comfortable and quiet night’s stay. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

An absolutely wonderful hotel with its own unique history and character. The location is excellent – close to everything yet peaceful. Everything was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, making us feel truly at home. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The atmosphere of the hotel has a special charm that makes you want to stay longer. It’s the kind of place you’ll remember fondly and want to return to.

Lovely, traditional hotel, wonderful staff, lovely mountain view and easy walk down to the fjord for a swim. Great breakfast, particularly the cooked to order scrambled eggs and smoked salmon

Freindly welcome, great location as the Laerdal is a beautiful village and much quieter than others in the area. Breakfast was good.

Nice, refurbished and clean rooms, and slept perfectly in the beds. The buildings are quite historic, with architecture from the early 1900s, along with some 1970s additions. Good food that were reminiscent of what the hotel would have served in its origins. Good selection at breakfast. Easy parking. Wonderful garden.

This is not family but rather a pretty big hotel. Nevertheless, that's a good place to stay. It is located in the centre of small and beautiful town but no worries about noise. The room was big enough and clean - as always in Norway. There is a shop just the opposite site of the street. The town is very beautiful. Surrounded with high mountains. Must to have: Great surprise for us were wooden colourful charming buildings - don't miss a walk to see them . Very good starting point to go to Flam (40min.by car) or the Snow Road. We had to leave the hotel in the early morning. Anyway, the staff was so nice and prepared us breakfast to take away. I strongly recommend a walk through the town, a stay at this hotel if you think about Flambana trip, and/or the Snow Road

Warm, welcoming and helpful staff. Beautiful room in the older, traditional style part of the hotel. Excellent breakfast and great dinner.

We had late arrival, but got a superb dinner in a beautiful dining room. The way we were met by the staff was unique and we felt we were family members. Personal, professional and top class service.
