“Great weekend, and we would definitely recommend!”

Great little spot with a very friendly owner! Close to fantastic walking routes in the forest. Showers and toilets were up to standard.

It's a nice place to get away from the cities. We lit a bonfire and also had a small bbq. There was a friendly cat around which that provided a good company. P.S. We couldn't stay the night as it got colder (but that's on us as we came in autumn and not with a very warm sleeping bag).

This place was everything I hoped for and more. For someone who has been struggling with insomnia the last 12 months I actually got 11 hours here!!! Must've been the lovely owner the friendly cats and a beautiful place to spend a night.

“A great place to get away from your busy life”

Super friendly host! The area was beautiful with a great view of the sunset and amenities to make a campfire next to the shelter. The mattresses were comfortable too and the toilets and shower were very clean.

Since we were on our honeymoon, the importance of privacy was important, and it was perfectly private for us. We wanted to have a "survival type" experience before we did our real 2 week woods survival trip and this helped us a lot. Honestly I could say that any couple wanting to bring their relationship to full fruition should visit and stay on the area known as "the shelter" because learning to survive together is definitely needed in a society that focuses on things that are not good for the relationship of each and every person.

“Comfortable alternativ to camping”

Amazing and super friendly host. The shelter is like comfortable camping, it has everything you need for a very nice experience sleeping outside - we never closed the tarp at night and it was a very refreshing sleep even compared to a night in a tent. The area and the surroundings has a ton of different animals: cats with kittens, a dog, sheep, hens and roosters, horses with foals, and cows. Maybe because of the rainy night but we had the company of a cat all night so people with allergies might wanna be a lil prepared.

What an amazing place, with a view to die for! Sunset and sunrise were amazing and the place is so quiet and the beds extremely comfortable. Shared bathrooms are kept clean extremely well by the owners, but they also respect your own private space. Be sure to bring a sleeping bag, mosquito nets are available in the shelter as well as beautiful oil lamps and everything you might need to camp out in nature. I highly recommend this place!
