“Unbelievably beautiful & restorative stay in La Roque-Gageac!”
Frédéric & his wife are incredibly warm hosts at Les Hauts de Gageac in Dordogne. The property is absolutely stunning! Driving up to the stay is a bit tricky but not impossible. Our room was L’Intime. Spacious, beautiful, immaculately clean & well appointed. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The bathroom is well lit and a nice touch was the triple-style charge adapters on the nightstands. We woke well rested to the birds singing. Absolutely perfect breakfast in the beautiful old house (200+ years old) with original beams & fire place. We had the most flavorful seeded bread that we’ve ever had in Europe. Fresh croissants, homemade jams, cheese, granola, fresh fruit + yogurt, fantastic coffee. Our only disappointment was that we had a fast overnight stay! Gorgeous pool with valley views, a longer stay would truly be rejuvenating. Walking to town takes about 15 mins along a small road uphill & downhill with picturesque views of the river & town. Unbelievably perfect stay in La Roque-Gageac!

The breakfast was excellent with freshly brewed coffee. My room was large, very clean and quiet. The bathroom was also large and very clean.

The location was lovely, private but not too far from the village. It was great to have access to the quiet pool! Laurence and Frederic were super helpful, with great local advice and recommendations. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The location, the views and setting, the decor, but most of all Philippe et Laurence are marvellous hosts. Ask about Laurence's home-made confitures and Philippe's pet wild boar

A very well run guest house in a fantastic location, modern & very clean, a lovely pool & very friendly hosts. Very peaceful & quiet, good wifi & a great breakfast. Restaurants within walking distance.
