“Enjoyable.”

Very good location. Room and beds were very clean. Very responsive on whatsapp and offered free drink while we waited for room. Restaurant good, but we prefer to leave early, so breakfast times was late for us, but might suit other people.

“Perfect mountain stay in a gorgeous hotel”

I loved everything about this hotel, from the location, to the lovely room and friendly, welcoming owners. I stayed here at the end of my first day walking the Camino del Salvador. I loved the balcony with my room and the bed was so comfortable. It was also really handy to eat at the restaurant there- my steak was cooked to perfection. Would not hesitate to recommend a stay here.

the couple who ran the hotel were welcoming and good company, this is a great place to stay for a stopover for the Ferry from Santander,excellent dinner, the cook/chef they have is brilliant, all ingredients seem to be sourced locally, all in all great place to stay.

“An oasis of hospitality, modern comfort and wonderful food”

Benny and Paulina are wonderful hosts and their hotel/restaurant (the old railway station for La Pola, I guess?) is the most modern and comfortable hotel in the entire area. Benny found a safe place for our motorcycles in the garage, always a plus. And last but certainly not least, the food is absolutely excellent. Do not stay there without having dinner! We liked it so much we stayed an extra night.

Rooms and bathrooms superb, exceptionally clean. Food was outstanding and hosts lovely!

The welcome was exceptional, from parking our motorcycles to the wonderful dinner and breakfast we had, a great choice of wines, an all round excellent place to stay. The hosts are great. We will stay again.

The owners are lovely, friendly people who go out of their way to make you welcome. We had a room with an outside terrace which was good to sit out on due to the heat. The evening meal and breakfast was super. Secure underground parking for my motorcycle. Decent toilet roll! Alrhought this room backs onto the railway we only heard one train go by around 6am.

Everything was perfect! From the lovely reception upon arrival, to the modern, bright room with a great shower and a huge dog bed for our furry friend (he loved it!) and the wonderful dinner. Couldn't have wished for more!

“Good for a stop over or to stay a few days.”

Modern hotel in a very small town in the middle of some lovely scenery. Secure parking for our m/c and dinner as well as breakfast was available in house. We were passing through on our way back from A Coruna to Bilbao but if you are staying they have some local touring routes available. Excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble.

Bicis & Vacas is run and managed by a delightful couple. Our group were welcomed into the hotel and were treated with every possible courtesy. Food, drinks and overall experience were first class!

Beautiful property. Clean, modern, great view, lovely hard working owners - everything you needed - even had a bath to soak tired muscles. Excellent communication about our stay. So welcoming. We liked the secure garage for our motorbike. The food and restaurant looked amazing but we didn’t eat there. The breakfast also looked really substantial. The town is a great location - supermarkets and bars around too.

The restaurant food was fantastic, quite possibly the best we had on our 17-day motorcycle tour of the area. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful, suggesting things to do I'm the area. Sadly we were only staying one night, so plan to return to explore more.
