A completely exceptional approach. The owner family prepared a Creole dinner for us from home-made ingredients, we had a very pleasant conversation, they spent a lot of time with us. It was a great pleasure for us and we send our warmest greetings and memories.

“Perfect base for Piton de la Fournaise”
Checkout/breakfast at any early time (important for Piton de la Fournaise, which is usually cloudy after 10 or 12). Dinner. View (unless it‘s cloudy, rainy and/or foggy as we experienced it).

“Ideally located for volcano walk”
It was a great location for proximity to the volcano and the museum. The outdoor space was fantastic with lots of character and options for sitting and relaxing, even sitting in a swinging seat to watch the sunset. The host kindly let us use the outdoor fridge and microwave, as being vegetarian we were not able to eat the evening meal there. We ere also able to get a super- early breakfast so we were able to climb the volcano.

It is a very nice rural house with beautiful views. Rooms are well equipped and clean. The common place where you can have a drink or eat together with other guests is very nice. Hosts are welcoming and are making sure you receive what you paid for. Included breakfast is good and is served for you very early (in a common space on 2nd floor) if you want to hike the volcano early.

Best place to start the tour to the Piton de la Fournaise. We got a very delicious dinner for 30€ per per person the night before. In the morning we startet at 6am and the prepared a breakfast for us.

“perfect base to visit piton Fournaise!”
excellent homecooked dinner for 29 Euro per Person, highly recommended even if slightly expensive. Great view to Piton Neiges
