Overview
Nestled on a beautiful mountainside high above the Valley of Flowers, Colibrí Camping offers accommodations with free WiFi access in Jupapina, a 30-minute drive from the city centre of La Paz. A Continental breakfast is served for an extra fee. Colibrí Camping is comprised of one en suite cabin and two cosy teepees. Bed linen and towels are provided for both options. Shared bathroom facilities are available. They all have a great river, mountain and garden view. At Colibrí Camping guests will find a great place to relax, far away from the city noises. The property has hammocks and guests are welcome to use the fully-equipped kitchen. Additionally there is an on-site shop which offers artisanal beers, specialty cheeses and other essential items. The area is popular for biking, horse riding and hiking. The camp site is approximately a 15-minute drive from the spectacular Moon Valley and a 25-minute drive from the Zona Sur of La Paz, where guests will find an array of restaurants and commerce. El Alto International Airport is an hour's drive away. Shuttle services may be arranged for an extra fee.

The staff were so lovely and helpful. When I went to Valle de la Luna, Rolando have him his phone number in case of emergencies, which I really appreciated for safety. The location was also great. They were also very flexible when my flight was cancelled and I had to change my reservation at the last minute. Finally, when I rebooked after my flight was cancelled, I had booked a tipi with a shared bathroom instead of the private bathroom in my original reservation, and they tranquillizzata reached out to me to check if this correct (indeed, it wasn't, and they then changed me to a room with a private bathroom!)

“Absolutely blissful. The recovery we needed.”
Breakfast and dinners were great! The view from the dinning area was amazing. The beds were cozy and we were warm even when the evening got cold. Also, the hot showers were great!

“Very peaceful and relaxing! If you are in La Paz, you have to come around!!”
Colibri is a great place to relax after spending some days in La Paz city. However in case one still wants to go to the city from colibri, it is possible with collectivos or taxi. The vibe at colibri is great, the location and the views are amazing. The breakfast served is a 10/10, every day you get great break, scrumbled eggs, cereals, coffee, or tea and fruit juice. The staff slightly variates the breakfast from day to day (different juice, extra cheese or avocado) which is great if you stay longer than a night :)

“Peaceful stay with a great view”
Rolando and his wife Emma were great hosts. Super friendly and helpful. The location is very calm and peaceful. Perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. For us it was the perfect place to calm down. We loved the breakfast with an amazing view. Unfortunately I got very sick. But Rolando helped me a lot corresponding with the doctor, organising appointments....That was very special. I am still very grateful for his care! So I totally recommend to stay in Colibri Eco lodge and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere! Thank you so much, Rolando and Emma! :)

it’s in a beautiful location, near to La Paz but in the countryside. it’s warmer than La Paz as it’s lower. At the bottom of the valley they grow flowers
