Overview

“Disappointed, paid significantly more than it was worth”
In booking the hotel is 13 km from Barcelonnette center, in reality we had to drive 75 km. The parking is a long distance from the room. It turned down that the room we booked was far down and we had to climb incredible number of stairs. Therefore we had to upgrade our room in order to avoid some of the stairs After 19:00 all the staff is gone, you are on your own. Breakfast was poor, we got a rotten apricot and a strange juice we did not like.

The location was beautiful—peaceful and quiet, yet just a short walk from town, which made it very convenient. We appreciated the thoughtful touches in the room, like the coffee machine and the L'Occitane products. The hotel’s lobby, bar, and restaurant were all beautifully decorated, creating a stylish and inviting atmosphere.

“Delightful hotel & spa with breathtaking views and the most friendly staff”
We loved every single thing from the second we arrived! We arrived in the early hours of the morning and the staff made it easy to access our room and gave us all the info we needed via WhatsApp. The staff were so friendly and attentive and nothing was too much for them. We arrived in the dark and so on the first morning we opened our curtains to epic mountains, blue sky and morning mist which was breathtaking. Our room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed - including a tea making station, Nespresso coffee machine, bottled water in the mini fridge, shampoo, shower gel and handwash. We also had a lovely afternoon having massages in the spa and then going on to use the steam room and sauna - both of which have amazing mountain views.

“Couldn’t have asked for a better stay on our roadtrip!”
Stunning peaceful location just outside of the main village (about 10 minute walk)! Exceptional staff & service throughout our stay!! Restaurant food was amazing! Perfect location if you want to explore small villages and Gorges du Verdon nearby! Couldn’t recommend enough!

“Part of a special 2 week holiday for my wife and I. We don’t usually push the boat out and pay crazy prices for hotels,”
Had high expectations based on all the excellent reviews, but were left totally disappointed. Highlights were the pool and the Mauritian waiter, who the other staff need to learn from - he was excellent, the rest not!

the location (La Palud) is ideal to enjoy Les Gorges du Verdon area, and all outdoor activities that this region has to offer. The view over the mountain and gorges from the hotel is stunning. the restaurant is excellent and the wine choice is really good. we enjoyed it so much that we had diner at the restaurant every evening of our stay . why bother going somewhere else ? the staff at the hotel was both very friendly and very effective. We felt at home !

“I think this hotel is probably the best & more luxurious hotel within gorges Verdon”
room was quite small but our bed face the mountain scenery, totally awesome! dinner was good, we ate within the property for both nights!

“Lovely boutique hotel with modern amenities and great food.”
Room was comfortable and well thought out with plenty of charging outlets which we ended up using all! pool/hot tub were great and meals were delicious. Would highly recommend!!
