The property itself is beautiful, especially the pool area with the poolside restaurant. There are many seating areas throughout the entire resort. However, there are a lot of steps, so it is only partially suitable for small children or elderly guests

The hospitality and attention to details

I stayed at Ultimate Provence with my best friend over Easter, and we had an amazing experience. The entire hotel has a modern and stylish design, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. On the evening of our arrival, check-in was quick and smooth; we were personally shown to our room (The rooms were excellent, very cozy, with a spacious bathroom and a fantastic shower.) and then went straight to the pool to enjoy the last rays of sunshine. The pool area is beautiful, warm, and very comfortable, with great loungers and even canopy daybeds. That evening, we had dinner at the hotel and the food was outstanding. Their rosé wine is truly excellent. We were also pleasantly surprised by the price (dinner for two, including a bottle of rosé, was under €100, with top-quality food.) The next morning, we went for a run around the vineyards, followed by a shower and breakfast. Breakfast was, once again, fantastic: organic, locally sourced products, and very fresh. After that, we spent more time by the pool, where we could conveniently order drinks (a much-appreciated service). At check-out, we had the chance to purchase their wines and other products, which are excellent and highly recommended. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. It’s perfect for families, a romantic getaway, or a relaxing weekend with friends.

This place is amazing. It is a retreat that offers not only beautiful amenities but also an extremely attentive staff and incredible dining option. We will definitely return.

We nearly cancelled our booking after reading some negative reviews but were very pleasantly surprised in the end and had a brilliant 2 night stay. The hotel was very nicely done and although coming to the end of the season it felt like there was ample space to absorb the number of guests without feeling busy. The pool area was a highlight more than enough sun beds that were all very comfortable, a bar by the pool and a really nice pool at a good temperature (unlike a lot of others during our trip). The restaurant was nice although quite pricey however for a hotel of this standard the drinks felt reasonably priced. The hotel is very rural which we felt was part of its charm but the nearby village of La Garde-Freinet has a really nice feel about it with good eateries.

“Disappointed”

Having stayed here three years ago . I was expecting the same ! Unfortunately didn’t even come close . Very disappointed . The general outside restaurant area is plagued by wasps mainly due to their being so many untreated nests around the property. The staff are helpful but limited in number.

Ultimate Provence was generally a good stay and definitely an experience worth having at least once. Beautiful gardens, nice heated swimming pool and lots of sitting areas. We enjoyed our stay there. The room we chose was spacious, it also had a small kitchenette, which was extremely helpful in the mornings, for a quick bite and a sip of coffee. The coffee capsules were replenished every morning, which was also a big plus for us. The bed was extremely comfortable. We loved the fact that the villa was remote and surrounded by gardens. We enjoyed the swimming pool area, as well as the padel court. We didn't have time to use the spa facilities, but I am sure they were as enjoyable as the rest. Even though we arrived past the check-in hour, we managed to reach someone at the reception to welcome us and give us the card to our room. We also recommend the wine, especially the rose one!

“Beautiful location and hotel …BUT needs so much more”

It’s a beautiful property - however we arrived after flooding - swimming pool was closed and not repaired during our stay. We booked a short vineyard tour but did not understand a word the guide was saying. Whilst the staff were lovely they also didn’t understand English and it was difficult to communicate anything. The room we were allocated was not the room I had booked and was misleading as the photograph depicted doors leading onto a terrace- this was not the case. We did move rooms to a shared terrace but it was not attached to the room and down the stairs. The spa was tiny and had an outdoor sauna which my partner used. When he had finished the spa was locked and he couldn’t access a towel or the showers. We asked for some teabags to make a cuppa and these took over 45 minutes to arrive. This hotel boasts a 5 star experience but we experienced a 3 star stay. There were other minor issues and I don’t usually complain but I think this hotel needs feedback.
