Good quiet location being only a short walk away from the beach with a market, shops and eateries within a 30 minute walk or 10 minutes by bike. Accommodation, although small, it has been well designed to include everything you need and was clean with a large and very comfortable bed. A very generous breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the delightful garden and pool. The breakfast included fruit juice, fresh fruit with greek yoghurt, eggs served as requested, and breads/pastries. Florence and Remy were the most wonderful of hosts from the moment Remy collected us from the airport to the very end of our stay. Although our understanding of the French language is very limited, it was never a problem. We were provided with great advice as to where to go on the island whether by bus or by the bikes that were available to hire, and the restaurants recommended were all excellent,

Florence and Remy were very helpful in providing tips on where to go, how to get there and where to eat and what to do. The garden is serene like being in paradise and very peaceful and calm. The fact that the bus stop is only a few minutes away was also a great plus point.

We stayed at La Maison de la Dune for 3 nights. It was exceptional from start to finish. The home made delicious breakfast was perfect every morning. Florence and Rémy gave us amazing tips and recommendations for places to eat and where to go during our stay in Il de Ré. The pool was perfect to cool down in and relax by. The house is located a 20 minute beautiful walk along the beach from La Couarde Sur Mer, where Florence even made a Reservation for dinner for us for our last night. Would highly recommend La Maison de la Dune for a comfortable, relaxing and exceptional stay. We would love to visit again!

Great spot near the beach, but with a lovely pool and gardens. Great location, can walk or cycle everywhere. Florence and Remy were fantastic hosts, so friendly and helpful, with great recommendations on where to go and restaurants. Can't wait to return.

Our final trip before the arrival of our baby and we couldn’t have asked for a better week! The property is stunning, breakfast is great and the hosts Rémy and Florence are kind and welcoming. We enjoyed the mixture of relaxing by the pool, visiting nearby towns and renting an e-bike from the property to explore the island. We hope to come back one day!

“The perfect getaway”

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would as it was genuinely one of the most amazing places I have had the pleasure of visiting. I would choose to stay here over any 5 star hotel in a heartbeat! What makes it so special is the way that Florence and Remy host. They take your lead and will give you privacy and independence but also will be on hand to help with anything. From Remy's freshly squeezed orange juice every morning, to the funny stories and anecdotes they tell, to them sharing the best places to eat and drink and even offering to call restaurants and book reservations for us - they truly took away any stress from the holiday and enriched our experience massively. The beach is a 5 minute walk away, the garden is so big you feel like you have it and the pool to yourselves (which most of the time you do anyway!). The cycling around the area are BEAUTIFUL and the nearby town (a 25 minute walk along the beach or a 10 minute cycle on the road) is picturesque with great food and less touristy than the other towns around. Walk along the beach after dinner and you will get to watch the sunset as you walk home. Thank you to Florence and Remy for making the holiday SO special and enjoyable. We can not wait to come back again very soon. Maddie and Matt :)

Remy & Florance were wonderful hosts and couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. The setting and accommodation was fantastic with really nice touches. Pool was great and the breakfast was delicious every day.

Excellent location to visit the island, very central. Hosts Rémy and Florence are extremely helpful and kind, giving useful advice and nothing is too much to ask. The breakfast is fresh and kindly offered inside their house in case of rain. We will go back !

The hosts made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much bother. The breakfasts were wonderful with a wide range of options with homemade or locally sourced food. We were able to hire bikes from the hosts which are essential to tour the island and made it easy and stress free. The swimming pool great to cool down in the afternoon.
