Overview
This 5-star luxury hotel is located right on the beachfront at La Baule. It features indoor and outdoor sea-water pools, sauna and fitness centre, as well as a pool-side bar. Free WiFi access is provided. A Leisure activities & Advantages card will be offered to each guest upon arrival, offering access to a range of leisure activities and exclusive discounts. Guest rooms at the Hermitage Barriere have been designed by the decorator Chantal Peyrat. All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with a minibar and cable TV. Some rooms also have large terraces overlooking the sea. A continental buffet breakfast is served every day in the breakfast room, guests may also enjoy their breakfast in the comfort of their room. The Barriere has several restaurants, where guests can enjoy refined and traditional French cuisine. One of the restaurants features a terrace overlooking the sea. There is also a salad bar at the pool-side Bar Les Evens, open until midnight. Guests will have access to the tennis court for free and horse riding lessons at an additional cost. 11 meeting rooms are available at Hôtel Barrière L'Hermitage. Hermitage Barriere is less than a 10-minute drive from Pornichet and a 20-minute drive from Saint-Nazaire. Golf International Barrière La Baule is 8 km from the property. The hotel provides bicycles free of charge.

Everything was excellent, food, staff and hotel amenities were amazing. Room was really comfortable. Those beds and black out blinds gave me the best sleep I’ve had in ages!

Feeling very sad that such a hotel would not consider changing dates on my stay. My 18 year old niece was diagnosed with cancer in the past 2 weeks, so I canceled all of my european trip for further dates to be with her during her surgery and quimio treatment. All other 5 hotels (not 5 star) reserved, refunded my reservation deposits. Very sad, that the most expensive, does not have any humanity. SAD!

Breakfast was very good with a comprehensive buffet and omelet and egg station. Good selection of hot drinks and juices and great surroundings. The concierge was excellent and the bar food was great. Our only slight disappointment was the food at the beach restaurant (the one hotel was closed) which was good but not up to the standard of the rest of our stay. The staff in the spa were also excellent and I had a very good massage! The location was also excellent - we could walk to everywhere in La Baule that we wanted to visit.

“This was a short family holiday which included 2 children - a real treat.”
The hotel is in a beautiful situation and has a lovely outdoor swimming pool. The breakfast dining room was large enough to cater for many guests with a very pleasant outdoor terrace. The view from the Seaview rooms is wonderful. We enjoyed the restaurants on site.
