Overview
Situated right along the gentle streams of Katsura River and boasting a beautiful Japanese garden, Suiran, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kyoto offers the perfect getaway for travellers seeking peace and quiet. This upscale accommodation is located just a 15-minute stroll from JR Saga Arashiyama Station and a 3-minute stroll from Tenryuji Temple, which is registered as a UNESCO world heritage site. Each room is furnished with a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle, a refrigerator and a seating area with a sofa. All rooms include a private bathroom equipped with a bath, a shower and free toiletries. Slippers and bathrobes are also available for your comfort. Guests can relax at the spa, purchase souvenirs at the gift shop, or soak in the private open-air bath with an advance reservation. Room service, 24-hour front desk and a concierge service are also available on site. A fusion of Japanese kaiseki (traditional multi-course) meal and French cuisine are served for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the on-site restaurant, Kyo Suiran. Tea and coffee can be enjoyed at Cafe Hassui, between 11:00 and 17:00. The symbolic Togetsukyo Bridge is located a 5-minute walk away, while the renowned Arashiyama Bamboo Grove can be found within a 10-minute walking distance. With a reservation, guests can take a rickshaw ride through the surrounding areas.

“Definitely a luxury stay!”
Stunning location and five-star service. The staff were so welcoming and informative. Although our room was not ready on time, we were provided a room to wait in the meantime and free drinks. I can’t rate their restaurant highly enough, delicious food and impeccable service. Upon our check-out we were also provided complimentary transport to the train station.

The staff are very polite and helpful, best hotel service I've seen since I came to japan. The hotel is located in the best area where you have a view of the river from the cafe. You can go sightseeing in kyoto or to the bamboo forest with 10 mins on foot. You're also near a train station.

A quiet and beautiful respite from the city. The garden and river views are lovely and the free champagne at the waterfront cafe after a long day of walking was greatly appreciated. The staff were welcoming and helpful every step of the way.
