It was a pleasant surprise. The room was very classic and neat. The staff were very sweet and accommodating. They gave us a lift to and from the hotel to the nearest station

The Staff was really sweet. They instantly knew us and let us in our room each time we came back to the hotel. The breakfast was also really good despite being called "simple bread" it was croissants, some puff pastries or raisin breads. The room itself was really huge and equipped with a giant bathroom. The location was more or less close to arashiyama forest and the staff offered a shuttle service to the next train station, in our case even to Yamato transportation for our suitcases. The location itself was a bit away from everything other but the buses, which rarely arrived on time, brought us to the center in like 40 minutes. Overall it was a nice experience

The size of the room was incredible after staying in small hotel rooms. The tub and showers were also satisfying. The owner helped me to get my lost baggage from my flight, she was very helpful and supportive.

“Budget choice for Arashiyama”

The room was big by Japanese standards. Ours had a large bed, a small round table for dining, and a Japanese style bathroom with separate areas for shower and bath. The room was old but clean enough. The staff were helpful. They picked us up from the station and drove us there a few times. We knew about how we had to call them to open the door - they always picked up the phone right away so it didn't bother us. The included breakfast sandwich was decent and came with instant coffee.

Quiet area and in hotel, great to have pickup from train station. Breakfast supplied (same sandwiches each day). Room cleaned everyday and new towels. Lots of bathroom supplies (the usual plus more, eg hairbrush). Some very new movies on in-house TV. Glad to have bar fridge and kettle to make a cuppa.

The room is big, the staff who work there are nice, they don’t speak English but the are helpful using a translator. Drop off to JR station and sandwich.

Free of charge pick up service - back and fort - to the nearest train station, Calm and nature close location. Big room with massage seat and overeal cleanliness. Friendly staff, solved the language barrier as well. Bit surprised first that this is an Adult hotel. This comment will make sense when you arrive! Good price - value,

We liked the location - next to the river and mountains. Room was quite big and clean. Hosts are great are very helpful. Free transfer from/to the train station.
