We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. It is located in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood, while still offering excellent access to public transportation, including the metro, train, and bus. We especially appreciated the kindness and hospitality of the hosts. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, introducing us to the local area and recommending places to visit as well as great restaurants to try. We were also warmly welcomed with a small treat from the hostess, which was a very thoughtful gesture and made us feel at home right away. Throughout our stay, we truly felt comfortable and at home. Thank you once again for your hospitality. If we visit Kyoto again in the future, we will definitely choose to stay here again.

The owner was excellent. They were very helpful and guided us in making our stay there memorable. The unit was absolutely sparkling clean and had all the facilities that we needed.

The hosts were exceptional - very welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived to them kindly driving us to the station with all our luggage. They clearly enjoy hosting guests and take an interest in you, and we enjoyed all the conversations we had. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and quiet. Washing machine is available to use and a small covered porch with hangers outside to dry clothes. Very conveniently located a short walk from Saiin station, with a relatively large superstore closeby.

The host are lovely and kind Japanese couple, Haruka san explain about the transportation route around Kyoto and also prepare a lot of welcoming snacks and tea for us. The property are clean and located near train station which just a few stops to the cbd area. Would love to stay here again if we go back to Kyoto!

“Peaceful stay in a cultural Capital.”

Tucked away in a quiet area of Kyoto suburbia is Haruka House where the facilities are everything you need and a quiet nights sleep guaranteed. Hosts are wonderful people who are available for questions and what best to do in Kyoto, but they are never intrusive. Train and bus stops are 5 mins away which connect you easily to a number of key places in Kyoto plus there are good restaurants nearby. We cooked our own breakfast with facilities that work well and although the space is small, we never felt on top of each other, after all you are going to spend a lot of time out visiting the many incredible sights of Kyoto and need somewhere relaxing to come back to.

Ground floor apartment, very spacious, brand new, and immaculately clean. The linens were spotless and smelled great. The apartment has everything you could need during your stay, and more! The owners are delightful people who provided us with tons of useful information for our visits to Kyoto and the surrounding area. On the morning of our departure, even though it was early, they waited for us in front of the apartment to take us to our Uber. We said our fondest goodbyes, hoping to see each other again in Kyoto next spring! Perfect position, near to metro and trains.

We can only describe our stay at Haruka’s place as perfect! She and her husband were incredibly kind, always ready to help, and extremely accommodating. The apartment is beautiful and equipped with every comfort you could imagine—kitchen, kettle, washing machine, drying space, iron, teas and coffee, soaps, and more. The location is also perfect for exploring all the neighborhoods of Kyoto. We truly had a wonderful experience, and when we return to Kyoto, staying here again will definitely be a plus!

At Haruka House you really feel at home. It was the best stay of all our Japan trip! Haruka and family really make sure you have the most pleasant time in Kyoto. At the house you have everything you need, all clean, appliances are in perfect condition. The location is ideal, close enough to downtown and with restaurants, stores and transportation close by. Haruka-san is a very welcoming person and is always there if you need anything. Staying here truly feels like living in Japan, not just like staying in a hotel. If you want to avoid crowded places while still having good connections, this is the perfect place to be.

A well-located apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood with great transport access. The size is just right—not too big, not too small. It has all the basic amenities a traveler needs, plus a few extras. As a bonus, there are some local fluffy residents who seem to take their unofficial role as ‘welcoming committee’ very seriously.
