The villa’s location is truly exceptional — tucked away at the end of a serene fjord, it offers total privacy and a breathtaking terrace. The reality far surpasses the photos. Communication with the host was flawless. Even before our arrival, we received detailed information about where to shop, store hours, how to access the property — everything was perfectly organized. One of the highlights of our stay was the boat trip with the owner. He took us out on the sea, we went fishing together, and he even prepared a delicious meal for us right on the boat. He also recommended local places to eat — we ended up having the best fish soup in all of Tromsø. We wholeheartedly recommend this place. If you’re planning a trip to Tromsø, skip staying in the city. Choose Tromvik instead — just like we did — and experience the stunning views, the peaceful atmosphere, and the comfort this place has to offer.

The house was beautifully appointed and the rural location was perfect. It was quite and restful which was what we were looking for. The owners were so lovely and really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It felt like we made new friends in Anne and Steinar. Thank you so much 💓

“Beautiful gem close to Tromso”

Everything!!! The house offers all you need and has a very practical floor plan. Downstairs, the entry is tiled and has enough space for all your gear and clothing, as well as a separate room with a washer and dryer. Upstairs is all the living space with heated, wooden floors. The kitchen is fully equipped (even with a steamer), the bathroom stocked with toiletries. The interior style is very appealing, the beds super comfortable, the cleanliness meticulous and the view from the large living room amazing. The two balconies are perfect for northern lights watching, and when the aurora is hidden behind clouds, the large TV and the comfy couches make for a great movie night. The house is located literally at the end of the road in Tromvik, so there is no passing traffic at all. You can reach various points of interest/trailheads within 10 to 60 minutes. Anne and Steinar who live next door are the most warm-hearted and welcoming hosts. We really had a great time and can highly recommend this vacation rental. The pictures we added are all taken from the balcony or in front of the house.

Anne Grete and Stainer are the best hosts we ever had ! they are so helpful, so friendly, so kind ! and their house is SO AMAZING !!!! you cannot believe your eyes when you arrive in the living room with the view on the sea ! And it is very confortable, with everything you need for daily life, like if you were in your home. The area is simply gorgeous : a small fisherman port surrounded by mountains and lakes easy to walk through ! one of the most astounding place in the world we have seen (and we travel a lot). Of course, you have to love remote places and enjoy being away from tourists, as they don't come that far in the wilderness !!! Thank a lot to our marvelous hosts ! we will come back !!!
