Lovely owner I felt so welcomed and the breakfast was AMAZING! The onsens are also lovely and I was usually the only person in there. There was a surprise waiting in our room when we checked in and it was Oishi! A little pudding with matcha. The location was amazing close to town centre and the park nearby. Highly recommend and we hope to come back!

Kusatsu is on our “need to return” list because of this small locally-owned hotel. The highlight of this stay was the hotel manager Miki. She is an absolutely lovely person, very informative and kind, and speaks great english. There were a couple times she went above and beyond for us (even though she didn’t need to). You can tell she cares deeply about the hotel as well. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and clean, and the baths were hot and clean. The location was perfect for us - at the edge of a quiet park but only 5 minutes away from town centre.

Incredible location minutes from the main square, beautiful Onsen and Sauna. Breakfast was exceptional in taste and presentation. Nikki, the owner, was incredibly helpful and the room large and beautiful

Room was modern bright and spacious. The lovely lady staff who received us and who also did our check-out is cheerful, efficient, polite and communicates clearly. Sainokawara park is at the doorstep.

The receptionist was very nice and helpful. She speaks good English. The room and beds size are very good (spacious in Japan standards) The room we stayed actually have private toilet and basin but no shower room/bath tub. It was not very clear in the booking Location was excellent

Spacious and very clean room. The hotel host is very warm and hospitable, making the stay very pleasant. The location is perfect just next to the Sainokawara Park and outdoor onsen. The hotel onsen is great too.

We had such a lovely stay! The accommodation was very clean and had a warm, friendly atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The pudding was absolutely delicious — a sweet treat we looked forward to every day! The library was also very helpful and a nice quiet space to relax. We especially enjoyed the comfortable onsen and the relaxing foot onsen after a long day. Everything was wonderful, and we would happily stay again!

Beautiful Hotel, very nice staff and very well located in Kusatsu

This hotel made our trip to Kusatsu Onsen extra special and I am so glqd we chose this hotel. First of all, the owner is a very kind, bright, and nice person. She was always most helpful and kind (we would have made a big transport mistake without her help, she even called the bus company to help us find the best route). The rooms were modern Japanese, beautiful, spacious, and clean. There were comfortable yukatas to wear inside as well as ones to wear outside, which allowed us to enjoy touring Kusatsu in yukatas. On the day we arrived there was a delicious macha pudding waiting in the fridge! The amenities were excellent and everything was designed beautifully. The location is very near to everything you might want to see in Kusatsu Onsen while still being in a nice, peaceful spot. The main shopping streets, yubatake, a beautiful park full of hot springs, and so many other things are just a few minutes away. There is an onsen and a sauna at the hotel, the space is soothing, beautiful, and clean. Going to bathe there was a very relaxing way to end the day and really enjoy the onsen water Kusatsu is famous for. In these spaces too the amenities were excellent. We had an excellent experience and would certainly choose this hotel again. And thank you so much again to the very kind owner! :)
