We loved staying in the cabin, it was very cozy and well equiped for winter stay, with loads of wood prepared for us and actually more comforts than we were expecting from the description (there was a lot of water already stored in the cabin, for example). Dry toilet worked really well. Sauna was fantastic, and washing room very nice to use after it was heated from sauna, there were buckets available for washing. It was mostly very peaceful on the island, the frozen river was a great location to observe the aurora, and it is possible to do cross-country skiing on it. The bus stop is a 20-min walk away and you can catch a bus to Kiruna.

the staff of the hotel from Kirunaguidetour flawless they are kind and helpful and very very polite. especially the snowmobile driver. Michale from KIRUNA and Michael from Germany. they are so kind and helpfulI . yuki and frank from the office are also very kind you can reach them any time if you need any help.

“Great place and location but missing many simple easy things to make it pleasant and comfortable”
We stayed in main cabin Fab location on little island in middle of frozen river (winter time). 20 min walk across snow covered rived to the road for pick-up to activities or catch the bus into Kiruna town or Ice Hotel. Sauna was great - light the fire to heat it up, easy. Log fire in lounge was cosy too. All rooms have electric heaters so it's warm always, regardless if you light fire or not. Minus 15 outside Lounge is very cosy and pretty Staff doing transfers by snow mobile were great - their instructions on lighting fire, getting water and sauna were all good. We got water from the frozen river for our stay, as described. You can drink this water too (we did and it was fine) Read description carefully and bring all your food. Transfer is by snow mobile which you book separately )extra charge as explained correctly in description).
