Look no further — this is the hotel you need. This is a truly excellent hotel with a well-equipped room, fast internet, and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom also met all our expectations. The room was perfectly sufficient for two people and our luggage. There was also a very comfortable chair with a footrest, which was a really nice extra feature. The location of the hotel is fantastic: the station is nearby, the beautiful Bikan Historical Quarter is even closer, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops within easy reach. But most importantly, I would like to highlight the staff. They were extremely professional, exceptionally kind, and incredibly helpful. They handled the forwarding of our luggage completely for us and patiently answered all of our silly questions. They supported us in every possible way. When we left, we accidentally forgot our umbrella at the reception. It may not have had great financial value, but it had great sentimental value for us. The lady who helped us with sending our luggage noticed it and ran after us to return it. We are indescribably grateful to her, and we always will be. She has our deepest respect, and so does the entire hotel staff. This was an outstanding experience, and we would gladly stay here again.

Standard of breakfast was poor even when compared to the normal Japanese restaurants and hotels. Staff of restaurant not co-operative enough.

“I would stay at a Green Rich Hotel again!!”

This was my first time staying at a Green Rich Hotel. The hotel is located along the main street, making it easy to find, and it’s just a stone’s throw from Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, a popular tourist attraction. At the front desk, I was attended by a Japanes gentleman who had apparently just returned from New York and spoke excellent English — he even shook my hand to welcome me, which was a first in my many years of hotel stays in Japan. The room was extremely clean, and there is a public bath where you can soak away your tiredness. While exploring the vicinity, I also discovered an outlet mall behind Kurashiki Train Station, about a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

Room was comfy and the location was nice. Receptionnists were welcoming. Rooms were fairly ricently renovated and the bathroom were nice.

The staff was very forthcoming. The location of the hotel is really convenient you can walk to the Bikan historic center in just 5 minutes. There is an onsen in the hotel, but you are not allowed in with tattoos when they are too big.

I stayed two nights in Green Rich Hotel. It's close to the Kurashiki station and tourist places. Breakfast is simple but enough. The lady who served breakfast is very helpful and friendly.

The hotel provided all of the essentials that we look for -- clean, good location, good soundproofing, decent private bathroom, window/natural light, double bed. We enjoyed having a bathtub. We didn't use the sento (hot baths), but they said that small tattoos would be tolerated as long as you cover them up. In the winter the room was a comfortable temperature without requiring us to turn on the AC/heating. They provide room cleaning or new towels on request. The main attraction -- the canal and old town -- is just a minute's walk away.

It was a good experience from the beginning! The building itself and the lobby/entrance is very modern and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they made me feel very welcome. The room itself was great; spacious (for 1 person), clean, and comfortable bed. The view I had from my room was amazing too! The location is the best part, easy short walk to/from the train station and the historical district for tourist sightseeing. Many restaurants and convenience stores right next door too. This place is great value for money.
