The location is not far from the station, and the room was fairly clean. However, it is not suitable for more than 2 guests because the sleeping arrangements are insufficient.

“Base to see Kumamoto. Sound proofing very poor.”
Having access to kitchen, laundry and self contained living for the three night stay was a plus. After 2 months travelling in Japan, this was a good feature, versus what you get in a hotel stay. Dislikes - the building has been constructed with cavity walls and no sound proofing whatsoever, probably for the building costs to be minimised. It’s reflected in hearing noise from adjacent ( or beneath ) apartments. We had two nights in succession when adjacent or lower apartments made a lot of noise after 12am midnight, and so there’s no point is using the ‘company chat’ method they ask for as its only active to midnight. There’s please be quiet signs at front, maybe people don’t read that? My partner went to explore the house on our last night, and it was a group of people in a large people mover (speaking to them kindly, they eased back on the noise, as most people are trying to sleep at midnight). I’d say it’s a fault of the building, not the staff, but still, it’s definitely not like a concrete building, as most hotels are. Ear plugs are at front entrance for a reason!

Convenient location near the main train station but far enough from the noise. Very comfortable space for 3 of us. Comes with 1 free parking lot as well!

“Funky, Futton, vibe”
A very modern offering.... pretty stylish finishes & what we thought was a pretty funky space. Parking nearby for 500yen 24hr park we only needed walk 2 mins & were there check in was via the normal iPad entry & as we now do this ahead of time was seamless. The space was very inviting & would suit a young professional group or a family with more independent aged kids. Offering a separate bedroom & loft space which can accomodate multiple futtons. Whilst there were a few stairs & you do have to bend down here & there the whole place works & once inside it's pretty cool really liked the high ceilings in main area. The host left a box of accessories & there is a hot plate, microwave & washing machine at your disposal. All the cutlery plates etc are bio-degradable & disposable which is a great idea. The train station area & all the shops are just a stroll over a bridge therfore, pretty handy.

“The perfect place to stay near the station”
The location was excellent as it was only 10 minutes walk from Kumamoto Station. The apartment was super clean with comfortable bed. My wife and I loved an extra room above the bedroom where we could do stretch or simply relax. The bathroom has a heater function with a cloth hanging pole, so the clothes will dry out perfectly overnight. Surprisingly, it was very peaceful and quiet at night despite being very close to the main station in Kumamoto. There are plenty of good places to eat inside Kumamoto Station. It was a wonderful stay!!
