Amazing host, really cool spot. Lots of interesting decor. It was an older building but everything was spotless! There is a bar downstairs which was also really cool. Everything you need close by and some great spots for dinner around the area. The hos has a list of spots to visit for your interest. Cannot recommend this enough I wish we stayed longer!

I have the whole floor by myself at a very nice price and I was able to rent a bike for free to explore the city. The hosts were super friendly and the hostel is closes to the bus station where you can take to Aso/Fukuoka/Kagoshima and etc.

“Super guests with nice traditional room”

The owner was super friendly! It’s a really nice, really traditional bedroom with comfortable tatamis. The room has heating, which is really needed since it felt like 5 degrees colder than outside. It had a private toilet, but the shower was shared. We were lucky and no one else was staying, but it definitely felt like a shared shower (I’d recommend using slippers).

The room was nice and the owners looked very friendly. They helped us with fiew recommendations. There was an option to use bikes.

The hosts were so wonderful and we were looked after incredibly well. We had a great night at the bar talking with the hosts about music and art. They recommended and organised a reservation at a new yakitori restaurant, which was brilliant. ( also conveyed to the owner my food allergies). It felt like a home away from home. Unique decor which we love, very wabi sabi. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The warmth of the hosts made it exceptional in my book.

Such a beautiful place!! The owner was so kind!! Even if we did already check out he allowed us to leave our car there and use the bike for free for the day. He also speaks great english. And omg about the guesthouse is just beautiful, the owner loves DIY and he made it EVERYTHING by himself. We loved it.

Everything was perfect. The hosts are so kind. We had the chance to participate to a self-defense and boxing training with a team. We also enjoyed the bar at night. (Both are not held every day, we were lucky) It was chill and we could meet local people. Overall we had great chats. We hope to see them again. The room was great. Confortable and quite big for 2 people. There is a bus station at 3 minutes walk. Everthing is convenient.

“Pleasant atmosphere and good location”

Room was comfortable and cozy. The entire location was stuffed with funny and beautiful little things. The owners must be talented collectors of special treasures. And they are always friendly, cheerful and very helpful (thanks for picking us up from the bus stop in the pouring rain!). The location is good with a bus stop nearby. There is an excellent Italian restaurant with Japanese-Italian crossover cuisine nearby.

The atmosphere is really nice! It is full of charming details all over the place, it looks like the tavern of Ali baba! The staff is very helpful and joyful.

We had a warm welcome from the owners. They also offer to try out the "Free fight school" next to it which was perfect. Having bikes makes the stay very enjoyable !
