“Great hotel close to the bus station with lots of amenities.”
A very central hotel, 5’ from the bus station and a block away from the shopping Arcade. Daiwa Roynet always has high standards and lots of fun amenities like Epsom salts for the bath and oil treatment for your hair. I booked a small room with views over the back which I didn’t like so I was given an upgrade for a small fee overlooking the main street, larger room with a fabulous relaxing chair. Quiet room, comfy bed and handy air con moderator.

As new hotel.Good sized twin room.Firm beds.Pillows ok.Lovely bathroom.Small breakfast room but good choice of food.Close to shopping arcade streets and easy walk to the castle.Quiet.Secured wifi.

Wonderful location and great size of rooms, clean and accessible. Also great that there’s a convenience store right in the same building on the ground floor. Clean and neat design of rooms. Very helpful staff and plenty of freebies such as hair ties and combs that you can get in the lobby.

“Well located, big room for Japan :-)”
Close to all interesting attraction in Kumamoto. Easy to reach with tram A from the main train station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was a nice size, enough space to lay open my suitcase and I even had a small table and couch.

Location was great, a short walk to the castle and covered shopping street. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area, very lively and bussy at night. The room was quiet and breakfast was delicious.

Perfect location: in the heart of the city. In the vicinity are countless restaurants, shops, convenience stores, clumped into one area. Also near a major bus terminal and tram stop (both can be used to access the train station which is about 20 minutes by foot from the hotel) Room: not really big, but typical of modern Japanese hotels, they have the concept of "compact smart" where there is bigger space than what its area on paper indicates. Big plus on having a separate bath tub from shower. Staff: I had previous experience with this chain in which I found the receptionists 'robotic'. Not this one. They were helpful all throughout when I needed something and they treated me with warmth.
