“A unique experience at a great location”

Love the location - it's right next to the Koyasan-shita railway station. Might be a distance away from shops and convenience stores, but that's exactly what makes it a great place to get away from the hustle of city life.

“A very special place to stay”

We loved it here! The property is very quaint. The beds were super comfortable and the surrounding village was lovely and quiet. There are Shinto shrines nearby to explore, a river running down below, fresh persimmons for sale over the road and trains passing by to add to the atmosphere. There is no kitchen, but there is a fridge and microwave to heat up any food you bring. Everything was spotless and very thoughtfully prepared for our arrival. If you are coming by rail, some of the trains passing through from Hashimoto to Koyasan and back stop at this little station (Koyashita). If you are coming back down from your visit to Koyasan just get on a local train that stops (there are plenty, and they are all on the same line). It felt very special to spend time in a local village while everyone else raced past us! Don’t hesitate to stay.

Unique 2 room hotel, (we had the smaller room), self check-in on the unmanned Koyashita station platform. Excellent base to do a day trip to Koyosan and also one station from Kudoyama which is worth a visit. Train line is literally a few metres away from room, however noise was not really a problem as trains start about 6am and stop at around 11pm and timetable is about every half hour. Need to ensure you bring all food supplies with you as there are no shops at Koyashita.

“An interesting experience”

The room is situated at a train station, and you can see approaching trains from the window. It's an interesting experience, and I was happy we stayed there, but if you don't have a car, it's pretty time-consuming to get to and from there. Very calm and quiet, except for the trains, but we knew where we would stay, and they don't run during nighttime hours.

“Family looking for authentic experiences at Koyasan area”

Awesome experience in a very quiet, small town before Koyasan. Surprisingly apacious and well equipped. Remember to stock up food and other stuff at Hashimoto as there is literally nothing in Koyashita. Surprisingly the train noises did not bother us at all!

We loved the location and the room was so spacious and had loads of character. These were the comfiest beds we slept on! There were some really considerate touches like earplugs for light sleepers, but honestly we barely noticed the trains. It was such a great place to stay we will definitely come here again.

Super charming! The kids really loved it. Great design details. Very comfortable beds and luxurious bathroom facilities. Easy check in. Really convenient getting to Osaka in 2h, and within a scenic 30min drive to Koya.

It was a nice experience staying at that hotel. The amenities exceeded our expectations, and the room was exceptionally clean and spacious.

It was very special to sleep at a station. It was very easy to self check-in. Also the communication was very good and they were super friendly! Would definitely stay here again.

Very special place in the former ticket office of the railway station. Not as noisy as I expected, I slept very well despite the trains. Bring your own food, there are no restaurants or stores nearby.

“If we could, we would have stayed longer!”

The location is perfect for getting to Koyasan, and there are regular trains (which didn't disturb our sleep at all, by the way). We were able to chat with the woman in charge of housekeeping and who received our luggage. She was lovely, caring and accommodating! She seems to run a persimmon store right next door, so we recommend it! What's more, the bedding was very comfortable and the apartment is really well equipped and decorated!

“A delightful experience”

We were truly surprised to find that the hotel room was literally in this small station. The ambiance and decor of the room was perfect for the experience. The beds were probably to most comfortable of our entire trip.
