“Delightful small house perfect for two people with an exceptional host”

The house feels like a very Japanese experience. It’s very comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. The host is so generous and helpful. He went out of his way to help us as our car rental didn’t work out, picking us up from the station and taking our luggage to the station to meet us the next day. It was nice to have the space after living in hotel rooms for the past two weeks.

So many details that help make your short stay pleasant and easy, which unfortunately many hosts do not supply, such as a wealth of condiments and sauces, instant food packs and cooked rice etc etc and FRESH FRUIT in the fridge including some delicious strawberries.

Our stay in Kudoyama was one of the highlights of our trip. We spent 2 nights here - the house is comfortable and spacious, it had everything we needed and more. Kuza-san was such a friendly and generous host. He gave us an incredible tour of the area and recommendations for our stay. We'll be recommending this place to any of our friends visiting Japan!

Really good Equipment, everything went easy and a really kind, lovely and helpful Host. The House was also in perfect condition, had everything you need and was cozy. Even though there is no Convience Store nearby, ee had bicycles and he even drove us where we needed to go, so no problems whatsoever.

We had a wonderful stay at Kudonoie and would highly recommend it. It is conveniently located for taking the train up to Koyasan which we did on our second day. It is a lovely traditional Japanese-style house with comfortable futon beds, a beautiful view across the valley, a cosy kotatsu table and a deep Japanese-style bath. The kitchen was well equipped and our host, Kazu-san, had very kindly provided tea, coffee, milk, and fresh strawberries, as well as some tasty mochi and other bits. Kazu-san is an amazing host. He picked us up from the station three hours before the usual check-in time and gave us a fantastic tour of Kudoyama and the surrounding area including driving for half an hour to a beautiful temple in a valley, high up in the mountains. This was something so special we would not have seen without Kazu-san's help. He also took us to a lovely onsen, as well as to a supermarket, and a local okonomiyaki restaurant. On our last day, he drove us to Hashimoto station so that we didn't have to change trains. Such a kind and fun person. Our stay at Kudonoie was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.

It’s the kindness of the owner. He came to pick us up with our excess luggage from the Koyaguchi station one day ahead of our reservation. Then he delivered us to the starting point of the old pilgrimage trail. He saved us more than an hour of walking and carrying heavy backpacks up to Koyasan.

Everything about this place was perfect. I have stayed in many countries with Booking, and I must say this was the absolute best experience. Clean beyond words, it had EVERYTHING you could possibly need, the host was a great person who took care that we felt at home. It is a 5 minute walk from the cable car station that connects Koyasan with Osaka. The views of the location are peaceful and the neighbourhood was quiet. Don't even doubt about staying here, if you are looking for a sign, this is it. Our group of 3 friends were delighted and we wish we could stay longer in Kudoyama.

The place was clean, spacious, relaxing and on top of everything: the view was AMAZING! The host made our trip even more unforgettable. What an amazing guy! He showed us around Kudoyama and Koyasan.

This was the most outstanding place we stayed at in Japan. The owner met us at the train station at the beginning of our 2 night stay and took care of us the entire time. He drove us to restaurants, supermarkets. The next day he picked us up and took us on a tour of all the shrines on the nearby mountain. He was informative, and catered to all our wishes with a great sense of humor and kind spirit. The whole experience was what we wanted from Japan,

“Beautiful setting”

A really beautiful property with stunning views of the surrounding rice fields and orchards. The blossom was in full bloom, is was so peaceful. I'd love to stay again. The parking is further down the hill as the driveway is hard to access for visitors (if you aren't used to the very steep roads and sharp corners). The owner met us in the carpark as it was raining and drove us to the door :)

“Countryside gem”

Countryside, quiet and peaceful. Everything was very clean. The kitchen had everything, and I helped myself to hotpot. Bicycles are available, too. Absolutely loved the traditional Kotatsu table and futons. Bathtub was neck-deep. Self checkin similar to abnb style. Easy!
