“Perfect stay”

The house is located in a very nice village, with commodities and restaurants. It was very confortable and good furnished, keeping the traditionnel spirit of the house and the family history. Iannis is a really nice and friendly person, taking time to share with us some moments, to tell us more about his life here in Creta and to exchange with us, in addition to some gifts waiting for us when we arrived. We really appreciated our stay and the conversation with Iannis. We would definitely come back to this place if we come to Creta again. ,

“We didn't want to leave!”

It was lovely staying in what felt like a home in a local neighbourhood. It was comfortable, quiet, spotlessly clean and the wine and raki awaiting us as we arrived felt so welcoming. Giannis, our host, provided clear instructions and checked in to see that everything was fine. The highlight was meeting him and sharing an evening of friendship on his farm: enjoying tasting his wine, raki and fresh food straight from his garden along with good conversation and lots of laughter. It is moments like this that remind one what is really important in life: the moments you share your humanity.

Kritsa House is in a great location in easy reach of the centre of the village and the gorge. The view down the valley to the sea from the balcony is wonderful. Best of all is the hospitality of the host Giannis for whom nothing is too much trouble.

The location in the tiny village was fantastic, very friendly street and the house feels full of love and history, having been beautifully restored by its owner. The house is also very well equipped and clean.

Location good, excellent very friendly host. Left us wine, talk & fruit & brought us pastries. Even took us to see his allotment kypos in Greek & provided food rakhi & wine. A great unique experience.

Homey atmosphere. Like being in your own home, but with Cretan cultural history everywhere. There is a nice balcony to have coffee in the morning. A bottle of wine (and some raki!) awaited us in the kitchen on arrival. Ioannis was a very friendly and attentive host, who responded to our queries very promptly. It is evident that he has a lot of respect for where he comes from and his heritage. The village is lovely, and within a short drive of the beautiful and peaceful Katharó Plateau, high in the mountains.

“Cute traditional little house, well equipped”

The small house is equipped with everything you need. The owner has also made a small museum out of it, which was very impressive. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bed was comfortable. The small roof terrace was also very nice. The bathroom has a low ceiling height, but we were able to take a wonderful shower in it. As a welcome gift, there was a bottle of wine and a small bottle of raki! We also found a small gift in the form of delicious biscuits at our door one day. Great! Unfortunately, I did not meet the owner personally - what a pity!

Loved the little house which had everything you could possibly want. we didn’t cook in, but there was everything and anything you would need including g a toasted sandwich maker which we used for warming up Easter treat.

Our stay at kritsa house was great and would definitely recommend this stay to others! The rooms was clean, comfortable and have everything you need for a nice holiday. It's very spacious. We like the great the location - in a lovely quiet part of Kritsa, but short walk to main area with restaurants and landmarks. The host is incredibly welcoming and kind.

Had a great stay, all facilities good, Kritsa House has been renovated sympathetically with its traditional surroundings, and is deceptively spacious. A gift of local cakes we're left on the doorstep from the owner, which was a nice touch. We enjoyed the company of the local cats at feed time.

The property comes complete with all the utilities of a home incuding the washing machine Giannis and his family were very hospitable and even invited us to some local Cretan traditional celebrations. An excellent place to stay for peace and quiet in a very pretty village, within only 15 minutes from the hub of Agios Nikolaous. Highly reccomended for a couples get away!
