Stunning location in the Karst countryside, great view from the patio. Excellent spa facilities, hot tub, sauna etc. The village is great with a Vineyard next door and a couple of very good restaurants within walking distance.

Perfect location to visit the south west of Slovenia , the coast and its villages being only 40 min far away by car . Very confortable flat for a family with 2 kids , nice pool and spa , barbecue , washing machine ... The owner is welcoming and nice , available if needed , possible to have a wine tasting ... Very charming village with possible walk in the middle of the wine yard

It was an amazing holiday at Hiša Orel and there was nothing that we missed! Katjuša and her family are fabulous and wonderful hosts. If you have a question you could reach them at any time. We will come back! :)

The apartment was very nice, with a terrace overlooking the vineyards. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the sauna. There is also a pool, but we visited in May, so the weather was not warm enough to try it out. Great breakfast served by the owner. We felt like at home, she made sure we had everything we needed. She also showed us the vine cellar and the vineyard. Overall a great experience. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The sauna and jacuzzi were brilliant! We cycled in the neighborhood the entire week and enjoyed every minute of it. There are a few restaurants in the area and Sezana is but 5mins drive to do bigger shopping. From there, it's just across the hill to Italy.

Loved the location, quiet countryside in Karst region. House is a renovated old country house with plenty of space, pool in the jard and jacuzi on the terrase. Perfect for stays with friends or family.

The hostess is very friendly. Sauna and the outdoor aeria are very nice. Kitchen is fully furnished. Beds are comfortable.

Lovley estate in a great location. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, we very much enjoiyed thr terrace with the whirlpool and the sauna. The owners are very friendly. All in all a great stay.

Beautiful quiet location next to vineyard and winery. Welcoming host. Very clean, comfortable accommodation. Shared use of a small swimming pool and lovely jacuzzi and sauna. This made it a very special stay. We tasted the wine at the next door winery (also owned by the host). The host recommended places to visit. We loved Štanjel, a hillside village. We also rented e-bikes and explored this area further. Would love to return to this area and stay in this place again.

“Wonderful vacation”

Spacious apartment with lot of light and comfy beds. Winery is next door so guests can enjoy local wines. Place is close to Trieste and Slovenian coast. Other attractions such as caves, horses and medieval towns are also nearby. We will definitely visit again.

“It was a wonderful restful and inspiring stay”

The property is beautifully located surrounded by vineyards. It is situated in a quiet peaceful area, you do need a car to get there and get around from the area. Our host was exceptionally warm and welcoming, she gave us many helpful tips upon arrival. We also did a wine tasting at her property nextdoor one night which was very convenient, not having to drive anywhere since it was right next door. The tasting was an absolute delight and highlight, learning and experiencing lots and visiting the winecave. The airco was great and needed in the august heat. It was too hot to use the sauna and we were too engaged with daytrips to Triglav park, Seaside and other areas to have time to use the jacuzzi, but it was prepared for us to use at any time. We were there as a couple (no kids) for 4 nights. Would have been nice to stay even longer and have more time to enjoy the property itself. The apartment itself was nice, everything fresh and new and functionally fine, with a bit of a small kitchen, but fine for just the 2 of us and we didn't need to use it much with trips. There was also a massive bbq for shared use, which may have been convenient to use if we would have stayed longer.

On Thursday August 5th we arrived as the first guests at House Orel ever. We were welcomed very warmly by the owners Rok and Irena who made us feel at home at once. Within 10 minutes upon arrival we already decided to extend our initial stay of 2 days into 4 days. The apartment is very nice. Comfortable and clean. The jacuzzi is delicious And the surroundings of Kriz are truly breathtaking. It offers a hallucinating blend of Italy, Austria and even Colombia We have enjoyed our stay very much and will recommend to all our friends to visit Slovenia, and especially Rok en Irena in their House Orel.
