“Good value, comfortable abode, worth the extra drive”
Pension Zum alten Gasthaus Hänsel is 18 km south-east of Krauschwitz in the small settlement of Klein Priebus (a further drive than we expected), but with a good sealed road through pine forest to the location, we soon discovered the pleasures of a peaceful, secluded rural setting alongside the River Neisse. The upstairs family sized guest room was modern and comfortable, and our evening dinner and breakfast in the adjoining "Bier Garten - Restaurant" were enjoyable (simple but satisfying). The Pension-Gasthaus hosts were friendly and helpful. For example, I asked about an aspect of regional history (Bad Muskau in particular) relevant to my family connections, and was given a useful contact and website address to help my enquiries. Breakfast/ Diner; all available and very friendly owners despite of low occupancy. Hope they will continue because stopover is needed for bicyclist and especially hikers like me
