“Stunning location, great people, amazing food!”
The location is stunning! The hosts are super friendly and helpful - gave us hints about where to walk and what to see. Food was trully like made by grandma - huge selection and very tasty - all made there, not from frozen! The hut is located 10 minutes (by car) from the Vrsic Pass. Worth driving up there in the evening to have it all for yourselves with lots of free parking (a hint from the host!). 15 minutes on foot to the Russian Chapel. Otherctrails starting nearby.

“Love it!”
House is located in the National park Triglav so the nature around the house is breathtaking. We stayed in snowseason and staff didnt mind if the kids were slading in front of the house. We had room with shared bathroom and everything was very clean. Staff is super helpful and friendly. I highly recomand and we cant wait to visit again.

“Wonderful views and delicious food”
We felt really comfortable during our stay here. Everything was very clean, and even though the bathroom was shared, it was always spotless and very well maintained. The rooms were spacious and tidy, the food was delicious, and above all, all the women working there were absolutely wonderful—kind, welcoming, and so attentive. Without a doubt, we believe this is the best place to stay when crossing Viršič. Amazing views.

“Helpfull hotel”
The staff was very helpfull. We had a car accident 1km from the hotel and they helped us with giving us a number for towint services. We could still eat an incredible soup even though the kitchen was as good as closed. I wished we stayed longer so we could eat more food. The breakfast also had everything it needed and was really good. After that the manager brought us with her car to the place of the accident so we could go with the towing car. They really care about customers.

We spent 6 nights at Koca na Gozdu. All the staff were always super friendly and helpful. We found the food delicious, especially the goulash, ravioli, and fried bread. We chose this place because it's over 1,200 meters above sea level, so it was very cool in the mornings and especially in the evenings, around 21 degrees Celsius (70 degrees Fahrenheit), and above all, it was very quiet, far from the chaos of the villages. We're happy to have spent our holidays here; it's the ideal place to see a bit of everything. Thank you all!

“Dreaming of already coming back!”
Scenic spot perfect to be your base to visit the mountains, Kranjska Gora, and the river. We love how friendly everyone was and that they had a restaurant on site serving authentic and reasonably priced food. This was the most special place on my 11 day North Italia and Slovenia trip. It is also perfect for families. I want to come back with my kids here one day!

Warm welcome, very helpful staff, location, good and reasonably-priced food. We received great information about different trails in the area and adapted to the current weather conditions.
