“Authentic experience in a very nice temple”

The temple is a beautiful place with an amazing garden. The room was very spacious and dinner and breakfast were served in a private traditional room. We enjoyed the onsen and the location is very convenient. The morning ceremony was very interesting to experience.

“Nice experience, good location”

The accommodation is located on the main road, close to a bus stop that takes you to the cable car, also, a walking distance of the main attraction in Koyasan. Room very confortable. Be aware that you share bath and toilet facilities, however, we didn’t see anyone.

It was an unforgettable experience! My wife and I loved absolutely everything — wonderful staff, a beautiful hotel, a clean and cozy room, and delicious food. The morning prayer was especially memorable and truly unique. We were also lucky to experience snowfall, which made Koyasan incredibly beautiful and picturesque. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

The room was heated before we arrived which was amazing since common temple grounds are really cold. Despite sleeping on the floor it was more comfortable than some beds we’ve slept on in hotels. We loved the garden view from our room. The breakfast and dinner were surprisingly really delicious! Onsen was amazing too, can be used between 4:30pm and 9pm only and no clothes or swim suits allowed.

Amazing prayers in the morning

“A recommendable temple for staying in Koyasan.”

It is a very cozy, comparably small temple. Tabaks-san is very friendly and supportive. The onsen is great in fall. In case of colder weather the climate installed in every room is working well to keep you warm over night. It is well placed, Rathmer close to the graveyard. The food is good and fascinating. The morning ceremony is a very special way to start the day, and when you need some Information, just ask the monks. It is not a hotel or resort, so dont expect it to be.

Room was beautiful, large and very comfortable with great view of the garden. Food was excellent and very well presented Morning prayers with the monk was a very peaceful way to start the day. Altogether a very special stay.

“Koyasan overnight experience”

Koyasan is a delightful, authentically Japanese town that has a calming ambience, most welcome after the thriving metropolis of Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe and Osaka. The journey from Osaka was seamless and literally 'ran on rails' from train to fenicular to bus and return leg was identical. You don't have to stay overnight in Koyasan as it's not cheap, approx £500 for a room for 3, though I think at the end of a day trip you may wish you had booked! The 1 monk we had contact with was welcoming and accommodating. What we liked: Yukata in room Solace Garden Introduction to new food Onson Morning service Opportunity to view the largest cemetery in Japan, which was quite an experience, both day and night!

We stayed here for one night, a family of three. It was truly outstanding experience from the cleanliness of the place to the overall vibes of the temple, the surroundings, the yard and everything it was just perfect

It’s a very good experience to dive a bit into Buddhism religion. The location and rooms are great. Excellent dinner and breakfast.

The calm and relaxing ambience, with spacious and beautiful rooms, is framed by an astonishing Japanese garden, in front of which you can sit and enjoy some sake.

Is an amazing and relaxing experience being able to sleep in a place like this one. The mystic tranquility and history transmitted can’t be compared to other types of accommodations.

The temple is very well placed, close to the old cemetery, there are some shops and restaurants around. The garden is amazing and our room had a postal-card view on it. All the facilities were extremely clean, the onsen was comfortable and not crowded ( the temple is very small). All the personnel serving us were very nice and always ready to help.
