As a London couple constantly craving an escape from the city, this cabin was exactly what we didn't know we needed. We're already planning a return trip and next time we're staying longer. Everything you could need is here year-round: a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and a comfortable living space that immediately felt like home. We spent cosy evenings curled up by the log burner, and one night fired up the barbecue outside under the open sky. We even attempted chopping our own logs with the axe provided. it's harder than it looks but half the fun. After a long day exploring the nearby trails, we ended each evening in the sauna, tired in the best possible way, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the Czech countryside. The host made everything seamless with excellent communication was prompt, warm, and clear throughout, from the moment we booked to the day we checked out. In English too! Getting there on foot from the train station takes around 30 minutes and is slightly uphill with backpacks. We managed it fine, but for longer stays we'd suggest coming by car as the shops aren't nearby. Honestly though, the remoteness was the whole point for us. Best for couples who want to hike by day, stargaze by night, and wake up genuinely rested — all without the hassle of a tent.

The house itself is very nicely done. The kitchen is fully equipped, the standard is high, and the bathroom is clean. The living room features a speaker and a smart TV. There are also various card and board games available. On the property, there are two additional structures: a small garage that houses a grill and a fire pit area. Everything is thoughtfully arranged, and nothing is added just for show without being functional. For example, there are skewers for sausages at the fire pit and tongs and charcoal for the grill. Moving on to the last structure, there is a sauna that comfortably fits two people. The sauna heats up to 90 degrees in about 15 minutes. The entire property is in a secluded location with the sound of a waterfall in the background. One of the best mountain cottages in Europe I have had the pleasure of staying in. I highly recommend it to everyone.
