“Stunning historical location!!”
The location was fantastic- stunning views and super fun to be staying in such a historical place. Far exceeded my expectations in terma of character! The room was also well-priced, and included a Nespresso coffee maker, Rituals soaps, shampoo and conditioner (not rubbish stuff), a steamer for my clothes (excellent!) and the room as clean and spacious.

Hotel is located in the old fortress, so you stay in a special, historic evironment. The fortress is on the top of the hill and from there you have a nice view of the surrounding area.

“Unexpected perfect in the most beautiful surroundings”
As I ordered I wasn’t aware of that if was literally inside the fortress, so that was a nice surprise to me. Beautiful place, quiet and this part of Kongsvinger was a unknown gem to me. Please take the time to explore the place and the walls that surrounds the fortress, it’s also stalactites to find, and museum summertime. The rooms are beautiful, the bathrooms are glass boxes and I assume it’s like that to meet the limits it must be to create a hotel inside an old place.
