“A lovely location but disappointling accommodation”

I liked the location as it was close to the water and there was plenty of game around. The bar and deck area was lovely and Shiloh, the barman , was very pleasant. The boat trip on the river was also most enjoyable. The food was very good. There was a little plunge pool which was very pleasant in the very hot weather.

The staff were very friendly. We were looked after very well. The breakfasts were good. We also asked to have the evening meal. It was a 3 course meal, no menu, but we had them for the 3 nights, and it was different each night, and they were all very tasty with ample proportions. They did really well, after all, they don't have the luxury of just popping to the shops like we do at home. The cabin and ensuite were clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and had a mossie net around them. There was a separate kitchen area with a stove and fridge. Also, you could cook outside on the bbq. It was great to sit outside our cabin and watch the lechwe coming to the river to drink. We did a boat trip with a guide arranged by the lodge. Admire was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed it very much. Saw lots of birds and animals. Highlight was seeing the 2 hippo families in different parts of the river. In the distance, we could see the elephants moving up. We feel very lucky that we can do and see all this beautiful nature and scenery in a different country and meet great people on the way.

“Wonderful location, wonderful hosts!”

We liked everything - didn't know we were in a tent!! Very rustic, with wood burning hot water system - had a great shower. Location on the banks of the Kwando River was fabulous, with Lechwe on the banks. We had a wonderful river cruise with Kennedy, who was very knowledgeable: birds, hippo, baby crocodiles and a large obstinacy of buffaloes. We also spent some time in the nearby Mudumu National Park, which was a wonderful experience. Annette and Hennie were very welcoming and gracious hosts who went out of their way to assist two older women with some disabilities. Huge thanks to them both! Thanks, too, to Shiloh. Thanks also for the great breakfasts and dinners.

Breakfast was very good, as were dinner meals which could be requested. The location was very good, on the edge of a wildlife corridor and very peaceful. Various antelope were regularly close by, and we were able to go for walks through the bush which was great. The owner and all staff were very friendly and helpful, and happily interacted with guests.

“Location 100%, service and attitude...%”

The shower is disgusting, water was so rusty to the extent that I could smell it on my body and the whole bathroom was full of smells of rust after shower, and what's worse, there is no hot water...I claimed if there is some deduction or not, and the answer is "No" with the fact of NO HOT WATER. And even the owner took really arrogant attitude, saying that he has been taking the shower without any problem, even drinking it for 10 years. However can a hotel impose their values on guests who pays over N$ 1,000 per night? As for dinner, there is no option, only one menu, which requires N$ 300 without details of the meal...and the staff asked repeatedly for drink to order...

Very nice hosts and a beautiful place to stay. The cabins are nice and clean and the communal area is a nice place to be to read or meet new people. The breakfast was amazing, dinner was nice.

“Peaceful lodge close to nature”

The lodge is beautifully situated and the hosts are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast and especially dinner were sensationally good. Our cottage was well equipped, everything has been thought of. The 4-hour boat trip on the river recommanded by our host was just wonderful. We were able to observe many animals and especially birds, sundown and drinks included, and our guide was very competent. We really enjoyed our stay!

Boat trip was wonderful Evening dinner a disaster and owner acknowledged but still charged us an amount.Location was great, but will be better in wetseason..Compared to other places we stayed in I am of opinion that it is a bit overpriced..Facility needs some tlc,but overall we enjoyed..hot water, small kitchen, power point , small fridge, friendly staff and comfortable beds. and wifi...bird life great

The hosts, Hennie and Veronika, were super friendly. Everything went very well, they organised a boat tour on the Kwando for us and it was fantastic, we saw many birds, hippos and other wildlife! The food was great and the rooms were comfortable. The location is also very good and the view is truly magnificent! I highly recommend this place!

Stunning location and attentive kind staff. If your planning on eating there the food is excellent. By far the highlight of our stay was our river boat trip. Our guide was knowledgable and friendly and we were the only people on the river - what a marvellous spectacle.

“Hidden gem”

What a great place! Camp is located on Kwando River bank, bungalows are comfortable, spacious and equipped with kichenette. Bar and dining room are overlooking on the river channels, sunsets are simply stunning! Veronica and Hennie are exceprional hosts, they also offer wonderful boat tours with great local guides. Food is delicious. I hope we come back and stay longer!
