“Perfect family getaway by the sea”

We had a wonderful stay – a perfect spot for a relaxing family holiday. The room was spacious and well thought out, especially for families: the children had their own beds, and we had a large, comfortable one for ourselves. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, making it easy to prepare our own meals whenever we wanted. There’s a private path leading directly to the sea, which is just a few minutes away on foot, and a beautiful walk along the shoreline takes you to Cape Kolka in about a kilometre. We also had access to a sauna for an additional fee, and it was definitely worth it – a lovely way to unwind. There was convenient parking, and we could enjoy a barbecue outside, which added to the laid-back atmosphere. The location itself is peaceful, natural, and simply stunning. One of the highlights was the incredibly kind and responsive host. When our child forgot her favourite cap, she went out of her way to send it to us in another city. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our experience even more memorable. Highly recommended!

It was one of the best bookings I’ve ever experienced. The owner is really kind and helpful — she even offered to dry my wet clothes after I cycled through a rainy day! The house itself is amazing, just a minute away from the sea. I hope to come back someday!

The location is unbeatable – just a stone’s throw from the Gulf of Riga, surrounded by peace and quiet. The fireplace is a delight, and the option to book a sauna adds an extra touch of luxury. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need at your fingertips.

If you like nature it's awesome, location also was unbelievably Buetifull close to coast. Werry friendly and helpful host. Sudgested to visit if you going to stay and see corner coast of Latvija.

The property itself was very spacious. The location was perfect - only a couple of minutes if walk to the beach - it felt like we were the only ones on the beach.

“Nice sleep”

The most important thing I want to say in this review is that Janet is really an excellent host and strives to make her guests' stay carefree and comfortable. The house is really nice and we were glad to spend 2 nights there. Now to the details: 1. The first floor without curtains - living room, corridor, kitchen - everything is clearly visible through the panoramic windows from the street in the dark. This is irrelevant in the quiet season, as no one but Janet herself walked past the house, but for privacy lovers, this may seem uncomfortable. 2. The fireplace created 50% of the entire positive atmosphere. After a brief discussion with Janet and proving our ability to use it, we were allowed to use it ourselves. It both heated the living room and created a pleasant atmosphere (there were plenty of firewood). 3. It was absolutely right decision to bring a wireless speaker and a laptop with us, as there is neither a TV nor other entertainment devices in the house. 4. A big sincere advice to Janet - if you enter the house, always warn the guests in before. This is just a subtle point of decency and intimacy, which is quite dangerous for a host to overstep. (in our case, this happened only once. Janet takes all the remote controls of the air conditioners with her, so we asked her to come and turn temperature a bit up) 5. Huge thanks for the 2 poufs, on which we spent most of the time, as there is no sofa or comfortable chairs on the first floor. Only dining furniture and 2 poufs. 6. If you've reached this point, you're lucky because it's the most important - the water. The tap water is unbearably yellow and smells unpleasant. Hence all the ensuing consequences - washing food, teeth, showering. To be honest, we showered partially with water from the Venden barrel (there's plenty of it in the house).

Super nice host. The hut is new, clean, scandic style. Located under old pine trees. Beds comfy. The sea is literally a few steps away.

The place is more than excellent, so clean, comfy, especially impressive kitchen. Kolka is nothing to do much around, no cafes, restaurants, shops, but the house compensated everything. Wouldn't go to Kolka again, but would return to the house!

“Beautiful house in great location”

The house was spacious, 2 minute flat walk to the beach, (you can see the sea through the forest, from the kitchen) The house was beautiful, comfy beds, good kitchen with full oven (fridge broken but spare supplied) Some lovely puzzles/games and area for the children to play at a small table.

Modern fully equipped house, with marvelous view to the woods, right next to the beach. Extraordinary kitchen facilities.
