The place is surrounded by nature. The lake is beautiful. The sauna is close to the lake to bath. There is plenty of firewood for the activities you want to do. The location is pretty private even with other guests in the other cabins.

Spacious and quiet cottage directly on the Pielinen lake. A big house with kitchen, sauna and various bedrooms, an aditional sauna house, a BBQ house etc. gave us more opportunity to spend time here than we ever could use. Totally quiet environment, awesome location directly on the lake with a private boat even.

The location of this place is stunning. It's among a handful of holiday cottages looking out over a beautiful lake which, when we were there, was just thawing. Because we were there in May we also had the place to ourselves but there's a reasonable distance between each place so I imagine it's not particularly noisy at any point. You can sit on the porch at the back in the morning and gaze out over the lake while songbirds flit round the birch trees nearby. Over the road from the house there is a forest where we heard woodpeckers and cuckoos on many occasions. There's a big living/dining room with a wood stove (which we didn't use as the weather was hot), a reasonable kitchen. the main bedroom at the back - ie looking over the lake, then another room with bunk beds in and a third with two single beds at the front of the house. The shower's in the sauna area and the loo is separate at the opposite end of the house near the hallway. Probably a handy arrangement if it's a full house. It's well set up for self catering and for groups who want to do outdoor activities - with a washing machine and drying cabinet etc. There was a file with instructions in several different languages. You need to set aside an hour before you leave to properly clean the place as that's in the Ts and Cs. This was the only cottage we stayed in during our time in Finland (we were there for four nights) and I would guess that this is probably the norm. Worth knowing that the last few kilometres before the cottage are on gravel track. It's a pretty good one and we didn't have any issues As well as the fantastic view, this is well placed for visiting the nearby Koli National Park, which we did on several occasions. Would recommend.

We stayed in a cabin which was very well equiped and super clean. It was warm and located next to a beautiful lake. It makes for a good base for Koli park and the lakes.

The house keeper was always in touch, and helped with directions. The cottage is very clean. It has a huge space: three rooms + living room + kitchen, sauna, bathroom and toilet. Everything works fine. The kitchen has everything to cook on and to eat from. The living room has nice fireplace. The house is lovely decorated in every small things: we felt secure and home by living there. There is also separate building of private wood-burning sauna on the cottage territory. Koli nature reserve is in 10 minutes drive - and is a nature wonder! There is complete silence everywere - it brings a lot of relaxation and peace to the soul. Planning to return there on the autumn season also. Thank a lot!

Great house by the lake. The yard is actually a lot nicer than in the photos. We really enjoyed the sauna just by a small beach. Awesome stay and we will be back for sure.

The view to the lake from the cabin was incredible. Most windows were facing west allowing a nice sun set view on the lake Pielinen.

It was a wonderful place, with all facilities. The full nature. The chalet was difficult to find, but we were lucky to meet the owner: she told us kindly how to reach the chalet. However, we had a very good stay.

We often go to Finland and there is something to compare with. This cottage and its location was the very best option. Our score is 10 points! The cottage has absolutely all. Gorgeous fireplace, cosy bedrooms, excellent WiFi. The most important is a million-dollar view from the windows (sunrises and sunsets over the huge lake Pielinen). Nature is fabulous. And if you add the presence of Koli mountain in the neighborhood with lifts and walking paths and a free funicular, a butterfly museum in Yonsuu, a museum of stones, as well as a museum of heroes of the book and the film "For the Matches" in Liperi, then this will be the most unforgettable vacation in Finland! A barbecue area, a sauna in the house, a wood bath on the lakeside, a magnificent beach and a boat of its own. The owners are very nice friendly people.
