I loved my stay here. The beds were comfy. I stayed both in the dorms and in a private room, each for a few days. Both were great. No aircon (you have a fan) or WiFi but it wasn’t needed. The common area has lots of places to sit and chill. It looks out onto the beach so you can’t help but feel relaxed. M’Pai Bay is amazing, so laid back. I left to visit another bay, but ended up coming back to M’Pai and Seashell. You can walk about 10 minutes to quiet long beach which is so beautiful. You can see bioluminescent plankton at night here too! You can also rent a snorkel and just go from the island. The people staying at seashell were great, and so were the volunteers. Big love Tarik!! Felt so relaxed by the end of my stay, didn’t want to leave.

“Enjoyable stay”

Nice guesthouse, right on the beachfront. Good place to unplug and rewind. The guesthouse offers nice breakfast. Nice restaurants/cafes/bars nearby. Mix of local life and western expats. Lots of long stay travellers at this guesthouse which shows it’s a nice place to have a base.

“10s across the board”

Truly the best hostel I have ever stayed in!Not just for its location literally on the beach, but for the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The owners are so welcoming and have created such a beautiful and chill space for people at Seashell. We kept extending our stay as we didn’t want to leave! The hostel has tonnes of board games, comfy places to hang out (including hammocks on the beach) and activities like bonfire night, necklace/bracelet making and family dinners which make it really easy to chat to other travellers and make new friends, (I can be shy so this was really important for me.) All the beds in the dorms have their own mosquito net and fan as AC is not common on the island. The hostel breakfasts are delicious so many amazing options and all so fresh and healthy. There’s also a great selection of cafes and restaurants close by to try too. M’Pai Bay in particular is my idea of paradise, small, stunning scenery, not overdeveloped and just incredibly laid back. There are no cars, no noise pollution, no roads, you can simply switch your brain off and enjoy! I met the most incredible people during my time here, locals and travellers alike. There’s a real sense of community that I haven’t felt in other places I’ve been, if you’re there on the 23rd of the month they throw a fundraising party for the island which was so much fun. I’m really sad to be leaving this special place but so grateful to have found it and I look forward to returning in the future

Fulfilled my expectations.

“Avoid”

Avoid. Owners had a party with incredibly loud music that lasted until 8! in the morning, making it impossible to sleep. This was not advertised at all prior to booking, and by 4am only a few of the owners friends remained - yet music kept on going for another four hours. Rooms are not well isolated from sound. No curtains and in the attic so they get incredibly warm and light fully comes in at sunrise. Bed is not comfortable. Only one bathroom was functioning for a dorm of 8 and 4 private rooms. A real shame, it’s a nice building and but just ruined by the above.

Comfortable beds, each bed has its own fan and mosquito net, there was a party nearby but it was still very quiet in the room.

Matilda and the volunteers who work at this hostel go out their way to make sure everyone is comfortable, creating such a lovely atmosphere where you feel right at home. We loved our stay here, excellent location right on the beach with good and clean facilities. Already want to come back! Thanks for having us :)

“Great place at the beach”

Stayed here for 3 weeks. Seashell has the nicest owners and volunteers, a very social place. Met a lot of great people there. Location right on the beach is amazing. Dorms and bathrooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable and have mosquito nets. I recommend this place and will return myself.

“Chill place right at the beach”

Great place to stay in M Pai Bay. The double room was clean, spacious and didn‘t get too hot thanks to the sea breeze and the strong fan. Comfy bed as well! The vibes at this place were very chill and social. I came here to recharge (my social battery :)) so I kept to myself, but they organise events and you can make jewellery or do yoga in the morning. The location is great too, especially for early morning swims as the sun rises next to the bay.

Great locality, great value for price, kind and helpful stuff. The house is gorgeous, right at the beach with a lot of places to chill, the accommodation is clean and cute 🥰 def place for more than one night!

Whaou, just no other words. The guest house is perfectly located , clean and the staff is Amazing, Mas and Matilde are just incredible and will help you on anything. Thank you and Will Come back for sure and for longer !

Best hostel I have ever stayed at!

This place is magical! It’s the ultimate chill paradise: there’s an affordable bar, you can join yoga classes, take part in bead-necklace workshops, and enjoy movie nights with a projector. There’s also a small, budget-friendly and super tasty restaurant right next door. Inside Seashell, there’s even a tattoo studio with beautiful designs and an amazing tattoo artist. The Seashell staff is absolutely lovely. We stayed in an upstairs double room — a real cozy cocoon in this little piece of paradise. Honestly, everything was perfect. I recommend it without hesitation!
