“Up the puk”

This property is amazing the best place I stayed in Thailand by far! The private room with a sea view wow wish I could wake up here every day loved my stay. The bar is right on the beach with an unbelievable atmosphere everyday what a spot to spend your time on Ko phangan love it here :) also the owner Timmy and all the staff are so fun and accommodating helped out with so much can’t thank them enough!

“Excellent hostel in Koh Phangan”

Excellent hostel, I had a double bed, the outdoor facilities are really luxurious, lounge chairs and hammocks available and you have the beach right there and the hostel is close to restaurants and other shops

“Nice place, but...”

The private bungalow is ok for the price paid, bigger than many I have seen while searching on the island, but not particularly furnished (no fridge, water boiler, clothes hanger…); also, don’t expect royal bathrooms, it follows average Thai standards (good for budget travellers tho). WiFi is ok, but not enough for digital nomads (room upload was around 40 mb/s, when I tested, with pretty inconsistent and jumping connection). If you want to have calls from the hostel, you will need to move on the side of the bar on the beach where, of course, there is constant music and people enjoying. In a place like Koh Phangan (extremely suited for digital nomads and, thus, characterised by long stays on the island), it would be ideal to have dedicated co-working areas or common kitchens (this is easily available on the island and, for long stays, an important perk). When it comes to reception service, I have to say it is friendly and available, even if it’s easy to find the reception empty even during working hours (possibly because there were construction and renovation works everywhere in the hostel during my stay). Overall cleaning service, like room cleaning, towels change and soap supplement are poor. Meaning that if you ask to provide shampoo they would, same with the towels, but don’t assume that is a standard service because in more than 2 weeks, I only could get my room cleaned once, after specific request (without any additional cost, must be said, just found it strange for a property managed by Europeans, targeted mainly to international people). Consequence is that in a sandy and shoeless place like Thailand (or Puk’s Palace, considering it’s basically on the beach) the room gets pretty dirty, pretty quick.

The access to the beach and the sun loungers were really nice and we did make use of those. The area was generally pretty clean and we saw cleaners emptying bins etc every morning.

the location on the beach was good. A nice place to chill and hang out during the day. The rooms were clean Very good for social and party aspect. The staff were nice

“Leonor & Inês”

We stayed in a big dorm, they provided clean sheets and a blanket. The staff is realy nice and you can rent a car from them at a fair price, in case you're not able to drive a scooter. The showers and toilets were clean. Hostel with a good vibe in front of the beach and with good and affordable food and drinks. The bar/ lounge area is really nice and makes it easy to connect with other people.

“A lovely chilled place to stay in Koh Phangan with friendly staff!!”

It’s is located right on the beach front with an amazing sunset. The bar area and outdoor part on the beach is so lovely with loads of sun bed and sofas! There are plenty of food options within a walking distance. The owner Tim is a great guy! I had an accident on a bike whilst staying here and because of that we were struggling to get around the island. He helped us out massively when we needed to get to the hospital and ferry port. Great bloke and top place to stay!

“Lovely stay, just a few complaints”

Loved the overall vibe; it was my first time staying at a hostel and Iiked it quite a lot. The facilities were clean and staff was super nice. LOVED the common area, nice chill vibe by the beach.

“Relaxing place”

Had an absolutely fantastic stay at Puks Palace. Stayed in the Dorm room. Prime beachfront location with a wonderfully relaxed vibe and great music (not trashy). The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the owner is genuinely kind, addressing every concern. Not to mention the two adorable doggos. Extended my stay to 9 nights right away and would come back anytime.
