Overview
This former power station is located in Knysna and offers sunny suites with an iPod docking station and views of the Knysna Lagoon. The spacious sun deck comes with an outdoor pool. The rooms at Turbine Hotel & Spa are elegantly decorated with light fabrics and parquet floors. The suites have a satellite LCD TV and extra long beds. A full English breakfast is available each morning at the Turbine Hotel. For light meals and drinks, there is a tapas bar and a fully stocked wine cellar. Guests of this hotel can undergo a hot-stone massage or enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool, which faces the lagoon. The sun deck offers a calm spot to read a book or magazine. The 24-hour reception staff can arrange babysitting and shuttles to George Airport, 65 km away. Lagoon and sea cruises can be arranged as well.

“All in all it was a wonderful weekend and i would definitely recommend the hotel to guests”
Breakfast was excellent and staff were very accommodating and friendly. The ambiance throughout the hotel was interesting and the pool deck overlooking Thesen Island was very peaceful.

Staff were fabulous, especially Mila on front desk who really made us feel welcome and went out of her way to ensure we had a good stay. Hotel setting is quirky and interesting. Breakfast was great.

“A Gem of a Hotel”
Great location, very friendly staff, facilities were excellent. We did a wine/food pairing night which was unbelievable, food was Michelin star.

We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the pool and the waterway. Breakfast could be taken by the pool of on the other side watching the world go by. The location was fabulous and our experience was delightful.

“Comfortable and relaxing hotel with good restaurant and excellent, polite and helpful staff.”
I was upgraded to a lagoon suite which was in fact a one bedroom apartment fully equipped and with stoepe overlooking the lagoon. Only downside was that it was next to the kiddies play park, tapas bar and restaurant so was quite noisy during the day and evening. All quiet after 10pm.

“Beautiful hotel in great surroundings”
Quirky former power station turned hotel on Thesen Islands in Knysna. Great place to stay while on our Garden Route road trip. One night was not enough. The rooms, the overall design and original features kept from its former life were great.
