Overview
Bamboo, the Guesthouse lies along the Garden Route and is situated in the Hunter’s Home suburb of Knysna. It features a lush garden, wooden decked terraces and an outdoor swimming pool. Individually decorated units feature warm colours and modern furnishings. Each room is equipped with a patio which overlooks the garden. Some rooms feature a fireplace and seating area. Bamboo serves breakfast daily in the dining area which is an elevated deck overlooking the indigenous trees and forestry. Dinner is available upon request and a number of restaurants can be found within 3 km. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the saltwater pool and relax on the sun terrace. Massages are available upon request. Free WiFi is available in public areas. The Knysna Heads are within 4 km, Knysna Waterfront is 5 km away and Pezula Golf Estate a 5-minute drive from the property.

There was no planning for load shedding. There was no emergency lamp or candle. Owner said I sent message which we never received. If we have to bring emergency lamps from home what is point in paying for this expensive accommodation.

The breakfast was an added bonus and good and hearty .The room was spacious with comfortable double bed and smaller twin bed with warm bedding .Kitchenette was sapcious and light .Lounge area comforatable with stand alone fireplace .Outside area quaint and sheltered.Host was very friendly and helpfull

I have stayed here many times but this time was the last time. The place looked run down. the plates in the kitchen are soup bowls. The pool needs a step in the middle. A colourful blanket over the couch outside would have made a difference. The pool is not as private as it used to be.

It was conveniently located for the start of the Marathon but in future if I stayed in Knysna would find something with a view of the lagoon.
