Surrounded with greenery, hills and vineyards of the Baranja region, Podrumi Kolar "Suza Baranje" features air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, a large restaurant and a wine cellar. We stayed here just for one night on our way to seaside and had absolutely amazing experience. We had a very warm personal welcome and a little tour to the wine cellar. and also special thanks for the breakfast - although we quite enjoyed the jerkies and the local meats, we also appreciated a lot the fact that some yogurt and cereals were prepared for our little one:)

“Good wine and breakfast”
The father, I presume, greeted us for our check-in. Initially, we were worried because the place looked closed, and there weren’t many options for us since we were bike touring. However, when he arrived, he was amiable and welcomed us with a bottle of their own white wine, which the 3 of us put down before going to our room.

“All's well that ends well.”
The hosts were extremely friendly, we could choose between English and Hungarian (and if we had been able, Croatian!) languages to converse. The wine-tasting was enjoyable. The home-made breakfast was superb, but not for a slimmer' club! A fried egg for two (at least 6 eggs!) followed by 8 types of home-smoked kolbász, salami, kulen and ham. Fruit juice and choice of coffee and tea. The hosts also sorted out a serious problem initiated by booking-com.

Our hosts were very welcoming. Location of the apartment is great; in the heart of Baranja region. Breakfast was exceptional (home made jam, domestic charcuterie and cheese). Would warmly recommend to other travellers.

I was on a 3 day solo motorcycle escape tour through Baranja and east Slavonija regions. Hosts (Kolar family business) were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are at great location for daily exploration of surroundings. Room was clean with comfortable bed, and the breakfast was truly excellent with local delights. Overall, great value for money :)
