We had an absolutely wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location was stunning, nestled among the mountains and only about a 40-minute drive from Reykjavík, offering both tranquility and easy access to the city. One of the highlights of our trip was being able to see the Northern Lights so clearly — a truly magical and unforgettable experience. The outdoor jacuzzi was another amazing feature, perfect for relaxing, especially for our group of five. Iceland is a beautiful country, and staying here allowed us to fully experience its peaceful atmosphere, respectful and well-educated people, and the sense of calm that surrounds you everywhere. We are truly grateful for this experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, nature, and authentic Icelandic hospitality. We would happily return anytime.

“Beautiful, but remote place for nature and hot tube lovers.”

I liked the hot tube and the nature around it. It is really remote. My children loved playing with the owner's dog, who was super friendly. The garden equipments and outside patio in a sunny day is a really energy recharging place.

Amazing location, next to golden circle route. Good location to see the northern lights,too. Amazing view around and very spacious on the inside, with the most amazing dog as a host.

“Ideal and surreal!”

Ideal location, easy to access to different parts of attractions. Cosy, clean and comfortable house, equiped with everything. Welcome from Border Collie dog was additional surprise for our kids. Best of all is hot tub in garden to close the day in Icelandic panorama. Quiet and ideal to experience islandic origininal feeling. I warmly recommend to all of you nature fanatics.

“Great stay”

Overall stay was wonderful, we wanted to stay out of the city and it was perfect for it. But to mention we had a rented car and took some time to commute to Reykjavik and so on. Location is wonderful if you wanna spend some quite nights out in nowhere. P.s - even got to see Aurora last two nights

Watch out for the trap! The smaller house (wich is actually not much more than a lousy container) has a lower standard. It has no access to the hot tub (which is actually not a whirlpool). And it is very dirty there.

The lodge was provided with all amenties, coffee, cooking oil, sugar every thing one would require. The host has made very special efforts to ensure her guests are suffiently provided for and comfortable.

The location is exceptional surrounded by mountains and rivers, its amazing for nature lovers like our family. We enjoy every single minute during our holiday. The location is also great because in between the City and County side. The hot tub is very good after our trips during the day we go straight away to the hot tub to relax and feel the natures.
