The location is perfect for Aurora hunting!!!! We got lots of Aurora recordings just right in front of our cabin!!!!

Quiet, picturesque location directly on the lake front. Great viewing of the Aurora from inside the igloo. Nice traditional barrel sauna with views. Friendly, helpful staff.

“Surreal experience, cosy environment and beautiful scenery!”

It was super clean, new, had a fully equipped kitchen, shared sauna and the entire setting of the camp was just out of this world!! 🤩 We opted for the airport / train station transfer which was the best decision ever - highly recommend. The lake was frozen so we could just walk across to the grocery store, following the path marked out by the snowmobile. Also special thanks to Tony for being such a good host and making sure we were well taken care of!

“An amazing time in Swedish Lapland”

We were met at the airport by the host, and he kindly took us to the accommodation. The igloo is romantic, and a great way to see the northern lights. Unfortunately, there was too much cloud cover for us to see anything, but we still enjoyed our igloo, where we got to see the beautiful swedish lapland from the comfort of our bed. The Sami camp is a short walk across the frozen lake. There's a path, we couldn't find it at first, so if you find that it's hard to walk or your feet are sinking in the snow then that means you're off the path. A torch would be handy to walk back to the igloos after your visit, as it gets dark early.

“Amazing location to view auroras.”

This was an amazing place to stay for Aurora viewing right outside your door!! A frozen riverbed, minimal light pollution, wide open spaces, so beautiful in itself, and even better if the sky was clear and the lights were playing!! The camp hosts Natalie and Tony were also very helpful and available for questions and ideas. The kitchen/lounge/bathroom cabin was very well set up, warm and cosy, good shared facilities, and very clean.

“Amazing stay”

Aurora River Camp was an amazing stay. We loved our cabin - it was warm, cozy and well equipped. The location was exceptional, right on the river and just a short walk over the river to the supermarket and ice hotel (or you could get a taxi). The activities on offer were brilliant, particularly the snow shoeing. We also used the shared kitchen on our last day after checkout, which was clean, comfortable and well equipped.

We got the Chance to stay in a Glass igloo and it was one of the Most memorable experiences ever! Auroras all Night Long, it was a pity falling asleep eventually! We loved everything, the views, cleanliness, amenities, Sauna and the warm hospitality! We will be back for sure.

Amazing and magical place especially if you book the igloo. We could see a starry sky with auroras, while staying in bed! Besides, in the common lounge you can meet other travelers from any part of the world and it was great to share our experiences.

Our stay at Aurora River Camp was outstanding. If you have the chance to stay the night in an Glass Iglu: DO IT! Unbelievable expierence, arctic lights included.
