+ Yui was an incredibly welcoming & easy to communicate with host (in english!) + You can book massages with Yui which are amazing after long days of japan exploration + The renovated house is spacious, beautiful and very peaceful + The hot bath was great + Netflix subscription in english was also a nice touch

“A Perl in the forest”

The lodge was incredibly well furnished with extremely good style, Middle East and Japanese style. A complete kitchen with all equipment and items was available. The bath was not with hot spring water but you can use as a real Onsen just with tap water, extremely positive. Yui the owner is a fantastic host and therapist, she practice us a wonderful professional massage in the lodge. TV with Netflix and Prime video was available for a relaxing night like being at home after 10 days of tour. It was a totally different experience in Japan, instead of the usual micro hotel room having a full lodge just for us. I recommend this location if you are in the area. A lot of trails are available in the area, Yui can help you in selecting the most appropriate place to visit.. Absolutely recommendable!!!

“Loved it.”

We all really enjoyed the location of the property. Ideal for hiking. It was very well presented, well equipped and tastefully decorated. We had a great stay. Yui was really helpful. She was good to communicate with and made us very welcome. We all had a massage with her which was so so relaxing after a day on the mountain. We all wish we could have stayed longer .

The accommodation is very comfortable. The interior items and decorations are exquisite and of high quality, with everything you need. The host is very nice, highly recommended.

“Amazing lodge which I wld love to return to”

The lodge was absolutely beautiful. It has everything a family would need. The washer and dryer were a huge help for our long trip. The kitchen was fully equipped. My children enjoyed home cooked meals after having eating out since we started the trip. The stone bath tub is a plus too.

Comfortable and homely. Close to main features of the area. I would mention that less agile people would have trouble with the bedroom stairs. Must have a car.

Yumi is a great host with wonderful communication . The house is very cute and tidy .

The house was very comfortable and well equipped. Ideal location for exploring the Kirishima Mountains. Lovely host.

“Loved it, hope to come back one day!”

Loved staying in this very stylish and homely house! It's very peaceful, surrounded by trees and we were visited by a couple of deer in the garden. The kitchen and bathroom are very well equipped, much more so than other places we've stayed. Yui is a lovely person, and was very responsive and helpful during our stay.
