We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The location is perfect, right next to Yala National Park, which made it incredibly convenient for our safari. The hosts were exceptionally kind and caring — truly some of the nicest people we’ve met during our travels. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and even helped us avoid getting overcharged for the safari, which we really appreciated. The room itself was a great value for money: clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed after long days exploring. But what made this place truly magical was the setting. The house is located in a huge, stunning garden where we honestly felt like we were in a fairytale. It’s peaceful, lush, and full of charm. We also loved their very friendly dog, who made the stay even more special. And for a unique touch — the owner even has crocodiles! We highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Yala. A unique experience with amazing hosts!

Great cabin, close to Gate 1 for Yala. Really friendly owners and they even have their own crocodiles in the lake on the property, very cool!

Super friendly owners and perfectly located the entrance to the park is super close. Thank you also for making this delicious breakfast so early in the morning for us and organizing the safari driver. We had lots of fun. Can recommend also to watch the crocodiles in the garden.

“A place with heart and soul”

Choose this place if you want something genuin, a place with heart and soul! The garden is more beautiful than in the pictures and the couple who run this place are so nice and helpful! Some details in the bungalow are a bit worn from time, but we did not mind that - everything was clean and well arranged! The man is a Sri Lankan carpenter who has built everything from the houses and the furniture to a pond where he has his pet-crocodiles. He also cooks really nice food. He fed the crocodiles for us to watch and it will be a lifetime memory! 😊 The wife is german and very helpful, she packed a big breakfast for us to bring with us to the morning safari. She even prepared the sandwiches according to the childrens preferences. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay. Karin and her husband Shantha were such amazing hosts. The whole experience was incredible. They even organised our day trips and safaris. Their guesthouses are beautiful and their hospitality was outstanding. We will definitely be back.

“Truly in the midst of nature! Great place for family.”

Suduweli Beauty of Nature is a treasure trove. When we reached at the evening, we saw some peacock roaming around outside. We immediately went to them. This was an awe inspiring experience. The owner and his wife were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. They arrange the Yala safari for us. She also made us a lot of breakfast - was very tasty. We were lucky to saw a leopard in the safari. The driver was very helpful and show us more places than usual. The place is really beautiful. And we will miss the dog Chango who was very much playful and very unhappy when we left. It was just a night yet we will miss this place.

Hosts were friendly and accommodating, gave us a room upgrade because they weren't very busy. Overall good experience.

The place is very clean. We loved the location and authentic vibe. We booked a Safari with the owner and it was a fantastic experience. Our 2 little boys also enjoyed the stay. Owners are very friendly. They even send us our forgotten belongings to our next stay in Ella. That was amazing!!! Thanks Karin and Shantha.

“Fabulous stop over for yala, highly recommend”

Very authentic, lovely welcoming couple after a 12 hour flight. Bed was so comfortable and air conditioning was great. Highly recommend dinner with fabulous Sri Lankan cooking and home grown rice from their fields, they even went to fetch us wine! Nothing was too much trouble. Surrounded by nature and a great location for yala, much closer than mainstream hotels.

We had a wonderful stay! The family was incredibly warm and welcoming – a lovely couple, with a kind (I think) German lady and her friendly local husband. The property is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and a peaceful garden setting. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The homemade food was absolutely delicious and made with so much love. They even helped us organize a safari tour and thoughtfully packed a picnic breakfast for us to take along, which was such a sweet touch. Highly recommend staying here for a cozy, homely experience in nature.

The family bungalow is comfortable and clean, amazing to stay near Yala. The hostesses are super dedicated, helpful and kind. Was a lovely stay, an amazing experience for us but specially for our children.
