“Nice stay close to Yaka!”

Nice clean rooms, very kind and helpful staff, it was close enough to Yala reserved which was the reason we stayed there.

“A wonderful stay with Shaluka and family at Kirinda Heaven”

Shaluka and his family were wonderful hosts, they went the extra mile to make us feel at home on our one night stay. We had come to Kirinda to pay a visit to Yala national park and we had a lovely afternoon chilling out by his pool, watching the vast array of birds flying by, and then enjoyed a lovely sunset from our room's balcony with a beer. Shaluka then cooked us a delicious grilled fish dinner - he previously worked as a head chef at a hotel and this shone through in his food. As he knew we were going to the safari in the morning, he offered to make us breakfast and was up before 5am to hand us over a much appreciated packed lunch! Overall we were really pleased with our stay, the room was big and clean, the pool area was great and the hospitality was 10/10. If you're looking for a great value place to stay before a visit to Yala, look no further!

“Remote and luxurious”

Very new build hostel, beds are comfy, AC modern and quiet, WiFi very good, bathroom in top condition, great looking big pool, remote area, stuff is very friendly and helpful, delicious dinner.

“Great host , great food, very reasonably priced”

The best place we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka! Shaluka and his family were fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble. The place is really well maintained, clean and modern. The pool was crystal clear and not chemically at all. He organised a little safari trip for us early morning it was great fun and the birds and wildlife was so interesting. But the best thing about staying at karinda heaven was the FOOD! Wow what a culinary experience that was! Everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty !! We asked for local and vegetarian - he created a huge variety of incredible, inventive dishes and extremely reasonably priced. The breakfast was massive and really healthy. I’m in awe of Shaluka and how well he managed the guest house and kept me and my wife happy for 5 days. If you want to stay in Karinda this is the place 10 out of 10

Lovley people. Nice and warm welcome. Shaluka and his family made our stay. The master chef made sure that we had an awsome stay, cooked really good food for us every morgning/night, grilled fish to not forget! And really helpful with everything. Room was very clean and the whole place was well orginized :) Glad we choosed/found this place for our stay, close to safari. We will def come back next time we visit Sri Lanka :)

“Fab stay in quiet setting”

If you are visiting Yala and want fab family run accommodation in a clean relaxing space then this is the place for you. The owner takes care of everything for you including booking safari, taxi and also cooking your meals. There is no reason to leave as the food is fab. The pool is great to relax in and super clean. Would deffo stay here again

Everything was amazing. It was super clean, organized, and excellent food. Loved all about the room, the bathroom was so nice compared to many in Sri Lanka, it was clean and spacious and the Wi-Fi works perfectly. The swimming pool is also very clean and pretty. The owners are a lovely family, and they really take care and arrange everything for you. It is one of the best places I have stayed in Sri Lanka.

“very recommendable”

We had a wonderful 9 day stay in the new bungalow. The bungalow, the pool and the surrounding area are very well maintained. San Luca and his loving family fulfilled all of our wishes. In addition, he is an excellent, experienced cook who was able to fulfill every wish, especially of our children. Although many guests only stay for 2 nights to visit the national park, we always had enough privacy and a longer stay is definitely recommended as there is a lot to discover in the quiet surroundings. We even took a day trip to Ella from Kirinda which was a good distance away to see everything interesting there. We would like to come again.

“Lovely experience”

Lovely peaceful guest house, nice pool. Tasty grilled fish evening meal then the owner took us for a short walk to a lagoon where we saw hundreds of pelicans and a crocodile- a great experience

The garden , the pool, the sense of peace and especially the hosts.Shaluka the host full of energy and enthusiasm . His home cooked curries were the best we have ever had . Just amazing and we at home have curry four times a week .Wonderful food great host so helpful . Trust him he’s good and genuine .

It's a new hotel which was opened in November 2023, so everything was quite new. Nice and clean swimming pool (it will be perfect in sunny weather, but it rained a lot during our stay). The host helped us book the safari to Yala and prepared the breakfast boxes.

Fantastic location for exploring the national parks. The host family were absolutely brilliant- helping with any questions and cooked the most amazing, nourishing food. Great fridge in room! Excellent pool.

The guestfamily was so lovely and helpful. The dinner cooked by the owner himself was delicious!! The room was very clean and big and had an aircondition. You can walk to the beach within 10 minutes. I can absolutely recommend this hotel and would love to come here again!

“Beautiful property, very friendly staff and amazing service”

Shaluka and rest of the staff who manage the property made us feel so welcome, provided great service, cooked amazing food. The rooms were clean, looked almost brand new and property matched the pictures. We had a great time will highly recommend

The room was one of the best we had on our trip. Seems to be brandnew and we loved it! Lovely balcony to relax and super clean room! The hosts are welcoming and helpful and even prepared a breakfast-box at 4:30 am as we went to a safari. Thanks a lot!

“A wonderful family run peaceful oasis in Yala”

This is a lovely locally owned/managed small guest house. It is run by Sudeka and his family who are from the area. Great attention has been paid to every little detail and it is the simplicity that makes the place so special. We came for the safari and it was close enough to the park so getting there was not an issue. I look forward to returning and doing the Tuk Tuk safari that they offer of the birds and crocs! It’s a great time to support small businesses in Sri Lanka!
