“Cozy and friendly”
We felt very welcomed during our stay. The staff was very friendly. Despite arriving quite late on a Saturday night, just as the kitchen was about to close, they still took the time to ask if we wanted to have dinner. Their thoughtfulness made us feel truly valued as guests. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for exceptional service!

“A great place to stay in every respect - and with good walking nearby!”
Attractive location on the edge of Kirchzarten with a mixture of old farm buildings and more modern houses nearby. The Landgasthof Baren has been operated by the same family for over 500 years and remains a very well-run family hotel. The staff are very friendly and we enjoyed seeing various local family groups holding their celebrations at the hotel. The food was excellent - a non-touristy German menu focussing on seasonal specialities. Our room and bathroom were very comfortable and well-equipped.

It was very clean and the room was very spacious. I checked in during a day when the hotel had its resting day but it was no problem thanks to clear instructions on how to get the key. Well organised.
