Overview
This family-friendly guest house is quietly located in Enkering, just 2 km from Kinding, in the heart of the Altmühl Valley. Gästehaus Lehr offers a large garden with outdoor seating area, a pavilion and barbecue facilities. All rooms and apartments come with satellite TV and a private bathroom. Most also feature a balcony. Guests enjoy free WiFi, free use of a guest kitchen and free parking. A rich breakfast buffet is offered each morning in the newly built and cosy breakfast room. This is a conservatory with panoramic views of the Rumburg medieval castle ruins. There are 3 very good restaurants in the village centre, a 6-minute walk away. Gästehaus Lehr is an ideal base for hiking and cycling here in the Altmühltal (Altmühl Valley) Nature Park. The property is happy to provide information about hiking and cycling routes as well as sights in and around the Anlaut, Schwarzach and Altmühl valleys. Free parking and free use of a bicycle room is also provided at Gästehaus Lehr.

“Nice and quiet place in Bavarian countryside, with exceptional hosts”
The stay was exceptional — hosts Bianca and Jürgen were very forthcoming in accommodating any of our requests, gave us all the information we needed about the stay and the location (even on topics we hadn’t thought to ask about), and were, all in all, very pleasant people. I think it's also almost impossible to find anything better in terms of value for money during summer in the area. We stayed there to be in the countryside near Roth and to do some running, riding, and swimming — and the location was perfectly suited for all that, with everything within a 10 km radius. Kinding is a quiet and peaceful place in the countryside, yet still only a 30-minute drive from Roth. The breakfast was a continental-style one, with tasty homemade items included in the selection. The room was clean and nicely furnished, with a large balcony, a comfortable bed, and reliable Wi-Fi.

I needed to work on my computer for a short time and asked if I could use a table in the breakfast area after the breakfast was done and nobody was in the area anymore. However this was declined unfortunately so I had to work in my car. Which I felt was not very accommodating.

Easy location close to A9 autobahn and easy to find. Comfortable house with modern decor. Bianca very welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. Very quiet location – good for nice sleep after a long drive. Good restaurant facilities a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was typical and plentiful.
