“Beautiful hotel in a stunning location.”

Beautiful reception & dining area with full length glass windows to enjoy the stunning views. Food was excellent, particularly the menu for our evening meal in the restaurant. Sauna in our apartment.

“Very nice stay in this design-awarded hotel - but at quite high costs”

The rooms with the huge floor-to-ceiling windows allow a great view of the arctic environment outside and invite to spend hours just lying on the bed and looking outside. Also, the rooms themselves are nicely decorated and well equipped. Restaurant offers a great view and high quality and is definitely worth it.

Great location in the centre of Kikpisjarvi above the lake. Good selection for the buffet breakfast. Amazing views of the Aurora from Lake Tsahkajarvi a short walk up a track behind the hotel.

Perfect location to come back to after a weeks expedition in the mountains

Warm and cosy rooms with underfloor heating Breakfast was varied and very tasty. You have your usual eggs and bacon galore, then bakery items, yoghurt with topping option, cakes, fruits and a hot drink machine with coffee and hot chocolate. Altought it seemed busy around 09:00 there's a lot of seating. Good quality shampoo and conditioner provided There's a walk at the back of the rooms that we took to be able to see the northen lights with less light pollution.

Nice new room, pleasantly designed, with a very large room-size window, with an unobstructed view into the neighbouring nordic wilderness (birch forest). Animal traces can be seen in the snow. Nordic lights can be seen when they occur, even from the bed. Large, spacious bathroom (without window, though) with a small personal sauna. Kettle (tea, coffee) and mini-bar in the room. Nice, light restaurant (also for breakfast) with mountain views in several directions. Good breakfast buffet with plenty of choice, warm and cold. Parking in front of the hotel rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Great skiing options in the hills around Kilpisjärvi. With a car, the sea can be reached in about 45min. Well-stocked local shops, despite the remote location.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay with massive windows to overlook over the snowy wilderness. The rooms were modern and very comfortable. Restaurant facilities at the hotel were great and again featured massive windows to look out from.
