“Fantastic location, lovely breakfast but very basic accommodation”

This is in a fantastic location, with little wooden cottages right down next to the frozen lake. There is an excellent view with mountains all around. The main reception has a nice restaurant, which we used to have a snack on arrival and the breakfast is excellent - plenty of choice and everything was fresh. Lots of gluten-free options were available. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cabin location by the lake. Easy access to the ice skiing tracks, with and without dogs. Athmosphere at the Retkeilykeskus is nice.

Very pleasant and quiet place, good view from the house, close to the lake, reindeer walking outside, ability to go to sauna (or rent a private one). Adventurous walk to Saana from the camper area.

The location being right on the lake was stunning, being able to see the northern lights in 360 degrees was awesome! Cabins are very cute and have everything you need.

“Cottages in Kilpisjärvi, beautiful surrounding.”

We had cottage nr.6, and the cottage looks over the Lake Kilpisjärvi. Very nice. The cottage is bigger than I expected. The living room has 2 windows where you can look iver the lake. There is a small kitchen, with all the utilities. In the living room there are 2 bunkbeds, for totall 4 people. The adults have to sleep apart. The bathroom is very spacious and new. New toilet, shower, sink, new floor with floor heating,new shower curtain. I was surprised. Outside on the veranda you can sit and look over the lake. A few 10m .ahead there are neighbours. Maybe there is lake access from the cottage, but I couldn't see it by the snow. But 50 m lower there is access.

It is located in from of the mountain and Kilpisjärvi lake. There has a gentle wave from the lake that created a Sami music. The room temperature is very warm and it provides simple cooking facility.

My third visit here. This place never disappoints, the cottage was wonderfully situated by the lake, peaceful and great access to shops, walks and all needed for a great stay. My dog enjoyed her little welcome package! I’ll certainly be back!

“Location, location, location”

Last year the kitchen and bathroom was slightly outdated, so we were very delighted, that the cabin has undergone some renovations. The cabin's next neighbors are the other 15 (?) cabins on the same property and the cruise boat terminal in close proximity. The location of the cabin is definitely the biggest plus of the accommodation: the cruise boat right in front of your doorstep and the starting point of your climb up to Saanatunturi about 100 m further. Also a nice extra is the little hut on the shoreline, so you can have a BBQ with excellent views to Malla nature reserve and Kilpisjärvi lake. Beware! Bring your own sheets and towels - renting them is currently 12e/person :)

Great. Excelent term isolation, heated floor in bathroom. Fully sufficient equiped kitchen corner. Exceptional place near the Saana.
