A really lovely house with a classic Finnish sauna. I can highly recommend and will absolutely stay here again. I drove north through Sweden from Stockholm over several days. This was by far my favourite accommodation.

“Wonderful stay in a perfect house with great hosts!”

We arrived after the normal check-in time due to a later flight. The keys were in the house and the place was warm and comfortable. The house was really fully equipped (extras such as toaster, microwave, hairdryer) and clean. The fridge freezer was spotless clean. Everything in the house worked perfectly. The sauna was a (much needed and appreciated) dream. The beds were very comfortable. The sofa was perfect for me - a little bit hard for my wife. Big flatscreen with all apps. WLAN was great. Parking in front of the house. The road around the house wase cleared of snow. Location was perfect - near the Supermarket (had everything you need , even as an anti-alcoholic vegan). We did wonderful hikes around the place. Most challenging was to the Saana - not because of the distance or difficulty - but we had chill factor of -24 C on the peak and strong winds. We did all hikes using snow shoes - easy going! The host has a rental (Saivaara Safarit) for snow stuff and we did a very cool snow mobile ride with Mika - only him as a guide and my wife and me. Awesome scenic view and challenging! Just too cool not to ride in a line of 6 - 8 snow mobiles - pure freedom pure. And not expensive at all- check it out! Email contact for questions concerning hikes with Miia was perfect. All in all 110%. Ah, they had a very nice wood burning stove but the place was always so warm that we didn't need or even try it...

The house was simply magnificent, brand new, fully equipped, with sauna, lovely decor, great kitchen, immaculate clean from top to bottom including everything in the kitchen. Rooms great, plenty of room and storage space.. how special to see all white outside and feel the stove heat in the living room. We also played a lot just on the outside since there were sledges available, and we did snow wars and everything we could have wanted. They also have snow bike tours which we tried. They are the nicest people even responsive through WhatsApp. We had the greatest time.

“Cosy, Modern Cabin in Stunning Kilpisjärvi – A Winter Wonderland!”

We had an amazing stay at Ahma Mökki! The cabin whuch is only 2 years old was modern, spotless, and well-equipped. The radiators kept us warm during the extreme winter weather, and the sauna was a highlight—it was brilliant to relax in after a day in the snow. We loved using the cosy log burner in the evenings, and the armchairs in the living room were very comfortable. The location was perfect for experiencing the Northern Lights, which we were lucky to see on a few evenings right outside the cabin. There’s a local supermarket nearby for supplies, and we enjoyed delicious buffet breakfasts at the Cahkal Hotel just across the road. The owners were very accommodating and always available if needed, which we appreciated. We also booked an incredible snowmobile excursion with Mika, who took us up Saana Mountain. Cooking sausages in a fire hut and enjoying tea while surrounded by the stunning scenery was unforgettable. We loved hiking up Salmivaara mountain peak (600m in height), where the panoramic views were breathtaking. The beds were also very comfortable, and the cabin was plenty warm despite the cold, snowy conditions outside. Overall, we had an incredible stay and would love to return in the summer to experience more of what Kilpisjärvi has to offer. Thank you for a wonderful visit!
